Gray Lady's Ship Takes on More Water
Could it be that the market for moonbattery is taking a dive?
The New York Times Co. said Tuesday its fourth-quarter earnings fell 41 percent from the same period a year ago...
The Times, which also publishes The Boston Globe and the International Herald Tribune, earned $64.8 million or 45 cents per share in the three months ending in December, compared to $110.2 million or 75 cents per share a year ago.
The Gray Lady is responding by raising home delivery rates. Somehow I doubt that will plug the holes in her hull.

I see where Knight Ridder, the nation's second largest newspaper chain is going on the blocks due to pressure from their largest shareholders. The NYT along with KR are losing circulation and advertising revenue due to the fact they are not putting a product on the streets that people can trust. The article in today's WSJ about KR explained how KR wanted to re-structure operations, cut cost, print smaller newspapers..tadaa..tadaa..tadaa. HEY, YOU ASSHOLES, try printing a paper that people want to read. Circulation will pick up, revenue from advertising will increase, and everyone will be happy. It is amazing how the free market works.
