Feinstein Admits Alito Belongs on the Court, Vows to Vote Against Him

For an indication of just how schizophrenic the Democratic Party has become, try to make sense out of the stance of Senate Judiciary Committee member Dianne Feinstein on Samuel Alito's confirmation:

"I do not see a likelihood of a filibuster," said Sen. Dianne Feinstein (news, bio, voting record), D-Calif. "This might be a man I disagree with, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't be on the court."
She said she will not vote to confirm the appeals court judge, based on his conservative record. But she acknowledged that nothing emerged during last week's hearings to justify any organized action by Democrats to stall the nomination.

In other words, she does not support a filibuster because there are no grounds to oppose Alito's nomination. But she's going to vote against him anyway.

And compared to some of the other Dems on the Judiciary Committee, Feinstein is a level-headed moderate.

And now, the spoiled Demo-brats of the Judiciary Committee are stalling the vote for another week. Just in case anyone forgot what a bunch of petty whining little bitches they were.

Reminds me of Bob Byrd's reasoning during the Clinton impeachment trial. "I consider lying under oath an impeachable offense, but I'm not voting to impeach."

They're basically admitting defeat. There's nothing Alito has said or done in four days of questioning that they can hoist up and say "This is exactly why nobody should vote to confirm him." So, instead, they're basing their votes on his "conservative bias."

The extra week's simply a last ditch effort to dig up some speck of dirt, in the hopes it'll convince one or two "moderates" to vote against him. It didn't work for them with John Roberts and it isn't going to work for them this time either.

What's that weapon loaded with anyway, wrinkle cream?

Ah, let them continue to fester in their own obsolescence. The more they do to forestall, the more outrageous the appear.

Its clear what Feinstein Frankenstein actually meant.

Feinstein is saying that she is voting against Alito purely for political reasons even though she would vote for him if she thought the moonbats that put her in office would tolerate her voting for Alito.

Moonbats keep putting guys like Ted Chappaquiddick Kennedy in office year after year as well as Robert KKK Byrd. As long as you support the Moonbat cause then they will vote for you regardless what youve done.

I would have loved for Alito to say to Senator Kennedy "Ted do you ever have nightmares about Mary Jo Kopechne rising from the dead putting you in a deadly embrace after youve been on an all night bender with Nancy Pelosi?"

Seeing Teddy grilling Alito was truly theater of the absurd. Whats next? OJ Simpson?

Shocker! The "Bride of Chuckie" (see pic for caption contest at The Right Place) voting along party lines against a truly qualified candidate? Who'd a thunk it?!

(/sarcasm)
