Cuban Healthcare Realities

Posted by Dave Blount at January 3, 2006 11:47 AM

A favorite moonbat myth is the wonderful healthcare available to all in the island hellhole Fidel Castro has made out of Cuba. Few note that healthcare is free in prisons in the USA too. The difference is, in Cuba, the whole country is a prison. Another difference is that the healthcare normal Cubans receive is flat out awful (hat tip: A Western Heart).

If you're a foreigner with hard currency, you can get acceptable medical treatment even in Cuba. If you're not, you'll find yourself in a facility like this:

Don't forget to bring slippers.

You also need to bring your own sheets.

To get there, just take a communist ambulance:

Here are some pictures from the Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Joaquin Albarran in Havana:

Looks like the janitor took the year off.

The next time you're sick might be a good occasion to thank God for capitalism.
