Pelosi and Murtha in Cahoots to Cause Defeat?
Never mind the 403-3 vote against immediate withdrawal from Iraq, House Minority Leader Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi is now endorsing Jack Murtha's call for "immediate redeployment" — i.e., immediate unconditional surrender to the terrorists we have been fighting and beating in Iraq.
Because she voted against immediate withdrawal less than two weeks ago, this appears to be a reversal for Stretch, but Murtha's November 17 call for a pullout might actually have been part of a strategy the two of them worked out together.
NewsMax quotes Howard Fineman of left-leaning Newsweek:
The two met and agreed that he would make his case in private to the party conference. After that, on his own, he would introduce a resolution calling for withdrawal of troops from Iraq "at the earliest practicable date."
According to Fineman, the strategy called for "Pelosi and the other liberals [to] keep their distance, while their own Marine charged up the Hill. Framed by long rows of American flags at a press conference, [Murtha] denounced the Iraq war as a 'flawed policy wrapped in an illusion.'"
When Murtha made his surrender pitch, Pelosi refused to support or to denounce it, sticking robotically to the line "Mr. Murtha speaks for himself."
Apparently we have reached a new stage of the plan, and Stretch can speak for herself too. But words are cheaper than votes. Neither of them voted in favor of an immediate pullout when they had the chance on November 18.
Whether Pelosi and Murtha really want an immediate pullout is doubtful. What they want is for America to be losing the war when the next elections come around. They may hope to bring about this state of affairs by forcing a partial pullout, or just by demoralizing the troops, undermining public support, and constantly forcing the Bush Administration to deal with enemies at home instead of those who are — for the time being — abroad.
The Democrat Party has made it crystal clear that it would rather rule a defeated America than have to ride in the back seat while America wins. The likely catastrophic consequences of our defeat in Iraq seem not to be a concern.

Very funny site. You may have heard about Murtha's ethical problems? He's playing with soldiers lives (no, just plain murdering soldiers) in order to prevent an ethics investigation into his channeling money to clients of his brother's consulting company--no doubt getting a big kick-back along the way!
See my post. You might enjoy my blog.

Nazi Pelosi sure is a piece of work isn't she? Do they REALLY think that bringing this up AGAIN is in their own best interest, let alone the interest of our troops and the Iraqi people?
These defeatist Dems have just lost all reason.

And now, Rep. John “Surrender Is Patriotic” Murtha is now going around calling the Army "worn out" and "broken" (way to shore up morale, Jack) and whining that not enough money has been allocated to meet equipment needs. Excuse me, congressman, isn’t it your job, as a congressman, to allocate money to buy new equipment? The Constitution, after all, requires spending bills to originate in the House.

Pelosi represents who she represnts, so why should we not be surprised?
I've seen the old Civil War term, "Copperheads" on a site recently, I think it fits perfectly those nay-sayers both in public office and in the MSN.

Speaking of Useful Idiots -- Chutch Confronted by College "Rethuglicans": Challenged to Identify 9-11 Victims Who Deserved to Die
Members of the College Republicans held a banner listing the names of people killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks outside University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill's classroom Wednesday.
They wanted Churchill, who has said some of the victims were not innocent, to mark the names of each person he believes deserved to die in the attacks.
WorldNet Daily, not a totally respectable source, adds this tidit:
VanBuskirk told WND an Indian guest speaker first came out to confront the protesters, saying they were trying to inhibit his First Amendment right to speak in the classroom.
He also claimed the guest speaker left the building but not before "putting a hex on us in an Indian dialect."

Pelosi sometimes bears an eerie resemblance to Michael Jackson. They have the same nose. Maybe they share it.
And they're both equally useless to society.

That has GOT to be Photoshopped. Please, please tell me it's not a real person.
They say everyone eventually gets the face she deserves, but that is just plain scary.

I'm not sure this is even human. It looks like one of those aliens from Men In Black that is struggling to maintain human form just long enough to accomplish some mission.

VH, WTF do you get these Pelosi shots? Are you planning a secret shrine, for crying out loud?!?
I have a cure for this problem. She's named Mensa Barbie. ;-) (Don't tell Mrs. VH!)
