Moonbat Mike Farrell and the Object of His Love

As an actor, Mike Farrell never amounted to much. If you remember him at all, it's probably as Alan Alda's even blander sidekick on the sitcom M*A*S*H. Now he's striving to make a name for himself as a moonbat. His latest hobbyhorse is clemency for the vicious killer Stanley "Tookie" Williams.
Although Tookie didn't murder any police officers, he has managed to generate almost as much affection as Mumia Abu-Jamal among liberals, evidently due to the savagery of the crimes for which he richly deserves to be executed, and to having cofounded the Crips gang, which has been responsible for literally thousands of murders.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's official response (PDF) to Tookie's petition for clemency makes for some excellent reading. It notes the following:
This cold-blooded killer, Stanley Williams, now seeks mercy, the very mercy he so callously denied Albert [Lewis Owens], Tsai-Shai [Yang], Yen-I [Yang], and Yee-Chen [Lin]. Stanley Williams does not deserve this mercy. In fact, despite the overwhelming nature of the evidence against him, and despite the non-existence of any credible defense, Stanley Williams has steadfastly refused to take any responsibility for the brutal, destructive, and murderous acts he committed. Without such responsibility, there can be no redemption, there can be no atonement, and there should be no mercy.
The murder of Albert Owens may offer some further clues into the Left's affection for Tookie. After shooting him twice in the back with a shotgun, Tookie proclaimed that he did it "because he was white."
Later the cuddly Tookie said of Owens, "you should have heard the way he sounded when I shot him." He then made gurgling noises and laughed. A couple weeks afterwards, Tookie used his shotgun to kill a man, a wife, and their daughter for about $100. He got to hear the funny gurgling noises again.
Instead of showing remorse at his trial, Tookie threatened the jurors. While in prison, he has been involved in numerous fights and has repeatedly threatened and assaulted guards, sending at least one to the emergency room by throwing chemicals into his eyes.
No one seriously doubts Tookie's guilt. The excuse for demanding clemency is that he has supposedly reformed. This notion is based on the fact that while his victims were rotting in the ground, Tookie wrote some children's books. However, if he actually had reformed, he would assist police in combating gang violence. But after a quarter of a century on death row, he still refuses even to be debriefed.
Too bad Tookie can only get the needle once. He deserves it four times over — at least. As for what limousine leftists like Mike Farrell deserve for making a cause out of this evil piece of scum, readers can come to their own conclusions.
