Once again Senator Kerry gets it wrong. Germany and Italy declared war on the United States after the US had already declared war on Japan.

Why don't Senator Kerry throw himself over the razorwire and minefields at Guantanomo Bay to see a real gulag.

And Anna, you hit the nail on the head. That is precisely why Saddam or anyone other than OBL has not come out and "pronounced war" on the U.S. Because no one could then point to it.

That's right, Germany wasn't behind 12/7, just like Iraq wasn't behind 9/11. That doesn't make the war against Hitler a mistake, nor does it make the war against Saddam a mistake.

And I don't believe that Iraq was completely innocent in 9/11 the way Germany was of Pearl Harbor. The Japanese did that one on their own without any help, although it did draw Germany and Italy into the war.

When the histories are written, I'm betting there'll be plenty to connect Saddam with Atta and friends.

Okay, let's recap: one of the biggest bellyaches from the Demoncrats is that Iraq was not behind the 9/11 attacks. That may or may not be true, but one thing is certain: that objection is as utterly irrelevant as any argument that we shouldn't have gone to war with Germany since the Germans were not behind the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Before it was.."Iraq is behind 9/11, you loser democrats. They have WMDs..we are all gonna die!"..now it is.."well, what we said before is completely untrue.
