Condolences to the Kos Kids
Democracy is gathering strength in Iraq, and the moonbats at Daily Kos are not dealing with it very well. Like other bats, they retreat into their cave at the first sign of light, snug and safe in the darkness of their fantasy world. But they still know that the gathering light is out there, and it seems to make them very bitter.
Decision '08 has the top 10 Kos Kids reactions to the triumphantly successful elections in Iraq. Here are a few highlights (needless to say, the asterisks are not in the original comments):
[I]t's precisely what BushCo is trying to do. Distract us from the violence and the deaths, of both U.S. and coalition forces and the Iraqi people, by staging these elections and giving us these photo ops.
Earlier this week, on Air America, I heard about a truck of ballots being intercepted on it's way from Iran.
I won't believe the numbers anyway. After the last election took 3 weeks to finalise the votes, I didn't trust those results either.
maybe america needs a good and bloody civil war to remember what democracy is about
This so-called election is utter bullsh**, nothing more than photo ops and PR props.
Has any reporter asked anyone in the administration why the f*** Iraq has had even 1 election if the country can't even employ 60% of the people?! If 50 people are dying a day. Can't one a**hole just ask the f***ing question?!?
I had a realization today while driving to work listening to all the talking heads blather on about Iraqis voting. I. DON'T. GIVE. A. SH**. ABOUT. THIS.
Cheer up, guys. Tyranny still prevails in places like Cuba, North Korea, and Iran — for now, anyway.
With thanks to V the K.

A shame that House Republicans shot down a resolution congratulating Iraqis on three successful elections in one year.
Why?
Because Democrats sponsored the resolution. Musn't let the Democrats do something to keep the Republicans from demonizing them.
But then, it was a Democrat (Tom Daschle) who sponsored the Senate legislation to launch the War on Terror in Afghanistan.
Wonder if the House GOP Leaders can shove that paperwork down the memory hole?

I can't seem to find evidence of this anywhere. Can you post a link? I'd like to see.

to quote the ULTIMATE Moonbat coverted to Islam:
"I think I'm being followed by a Moonbat-o, Moonbat-o, Moonbat-o.
A spittle filled ranting Moonbat-o, Moonbat-o, Moonbat-o.
And If I ever lose my mind, lose my sanity and my brain.
And If I ever lose my mind, oh if...I can go on welfare.
And if I ever lose my eyes, it will be Bushitler's fault.
Yes if I ever lose my eyes, it will be KKKarl Rove's fault.
And if I ever lose my legs, I can't protest and go to Starbucks.
And if I ever lose my mouth, I can still type on Kos and DU can't I?
Did it take you long to find me? I asked the black helicopter.
Did it take you long to find me? I asked the guard at Abu Ghraib.

Hm, I think RR is actually RR Jr. That would explain a lot. In any case, there was a resolution passed in the House today.
RESOLUTION
Expressing the commitment of the House of Representatives to achieving victory in Iraq.
Whereas the Iraqi election of December 15, 2005, the first to take place under the newly ratified Iraqi Constitution, represented a crucial success in the establishment of a democratic, constitutional order in Iraq; and
Whereas Iraqis, who by the millions defied terrorist threats to vote, were protected by Iraqi security forces with the help of United States and Coalition forces: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That–
(1) the House of Representatives is committed to achieving victory in Iraq;
(2) the Iraqi election of December 15, 2005, was a crucial victory for the Iraqi people and Iraq’s new democracy, and a defeat for the terrorists who seek to destroy that democracy;
(3) the House of Representatives encourages all Americans to express solidarity with the Iraqi people as they take another step toward their goal of a free, open, and democratic society;
(4) the successful Iraqi election of December 15, 2005, required the presence of United States Armed Forces, United States-trained Iraqi forces, and Coalition forces;
(5) the continued presence of United States Armed Forces in Iraq will be required only until Iraqi forces can stand up so our forces can stand down, and no longer than is required for that purpose;
(6) setting an artificial timetable for the withdrawal of United States Armed Forces from Iraq, or immediately terminating their deployment in Iraq and redeploying them elsewhere in the region, is fundamentally inconsistent with achieving victory in Iraq;
(7) the House of Representatives recognizes and honors the tremendous sacrifices made by the members of the United States Armed Forces and their families, along with the members of Iraqi and Coalition forces; and
(8) the House of Representatives has unshakable confidence that, with the support of the American people and the Congress, United States Armed Forces, along with Iraqi and Coalition forces, shall achieve victory in Iraq.
Only 59 out of 209 House Democrats voted yes on this resolution, the resolution saluting the Iraqi voters AND supporting Victory in Iraq.

Thanks for clearing us up on that, V the K. So telling, those numbers. RR Jr. might have some explaining to do, eh? No memory hole to hide in for the cut and run Dems, I fear. They're wearing it as a badge of honor, their moonbattery.
