Can Hypothermia Cause Moonbattery?

Posted by Dave Blount at December 8, 2005 6:30 AM

Yesterday people suffered from record cold across much of the USA. The temperature reached an all-time low of 45 below zero at West Yellowstone, MT. Hohnholz Ranch, CO made 37 below. Other record lows included 28 below at Drummond, MT; 26 below at Seeley Lake, MT; 25 below at Laramie, WY; 17 below at Alliance, NE; and 19 below at Cedar Rapids, IA.

Breitbart reports:

The body of a homeless man was found huddled next to a fence in Denver, where the temperature hit 11 below Wednesday, and authorities were trying to determine if he froze to death. He apparently had shed his jacket in a phenomenon called "paradoxical undressing," where victims of hypothermia become disoriented and hallucinate, deputy coroner Amy Martin said.

Perhaps disorientation caused by hypothermia can explain the behavior of Al Gore, who spent the icy day preaching at Stanford's Memorial Auditorium about the on-rushing doom of global warming.

"It is relentless,'' Gore intoned. "It is continuing.''

This same impeccable sense of timing was on display on January 14, 2004, when Gore rode his global warming hobbyhorse at Manhattan's Beacon Theater on a day that, according to news reports, "temperatures in many northeastern cities were colder than Mars."

Also in the news yesterday, Eskimos are suing the USA for allegedly melting their ice.
