US Out of UN?

No wonder moonbats hate John Bolton so much. It has long been known that the UN is an utterly useless organization, which serves as little more than a forum for corrupt dictators and sniveling has-beens to throw rocks at the USA and Israel. But no one has been politically incorrect enough to do much about it — until Bolton.
From today's Washington Times:
America's representative at the United Nations said yesterday that the organization must become better at solving problems and more responsive to U.S. concerns or Washington will seek other venues for international action.
Said Bolton:
In the United States, there is a broadly shared view that the U.N. is one of many potential instruments to advance U.S. issues, and we have to decide whether a particular issue is best done through the U.N. or best done through some other mechanism. ... The U.N. is one of many competitors in a marketplace of global problem solving.
Bolton suggested that these facts "should be an incentive for the organization to reform."
In other words, shape up or we might just ship out — and the UN wouldn't like that, considering that we pay 22% of this insidious organization's regular budget.
"We have one-half of 1 percent of the total [votes], meaning we pay 44 times more than our voting power," Bolton observed, referring to America's one vote out of the 191 that are cast at the UN. "My priority is to give the United States the kind of influence it should have. Everybody pursues their national interests. The only one who gets blamed for it is the United States."
People have been down on W lately, but just the fact that he appointed Bolton as our UN ambassador — despite hysterical resistance from liberals — is reason enough to cut him slack where possible.

Nope, liberals don't like Bolton because he lied to Congress and altered intelligence reports to fit a political rather than a military end.
That ended up getting a lot of US service men and women dead.

Actually, Denny, the BIPARTISAN Senate intel committee voted 17-0 (that would be ZERO) that he didn't alter intel for political purposes.
Liberals hate him because he believes that the One Worlders are out of their f'ing minds.

One worlders, I like that, although I would postulate that they are few a far between, a few European dreamers really.
Any realist can see the UN is nothing more than a great big bunch of nations each pursuing their own agendas. Too many nasty states are given status by the UN. Its time to clean up, or disband.
Lets start a new UN, first rule of membership, you cannot be an authoritarian, dictitorial nation. Which, by the way, wouldn't look good for Canada ;)

Why do we even need to consult some "marketplace of global problem solving"?
I say no one solves our problems better than we do. Let those who need/want the League of Useless Nitwits use it to solve their problems. Let us solve our own, and to hell with the rest.
