Solution Found to Muslim Rioting
We can all rest easy now. The left has found a solution to the Muslim rioting that is paralyzing France. The solution is... affirmative action!
No, I'm not kidding. When the lamestream media isn't twisting itself into knots trying to describe the rioting without ever using words like "Muslim" or "Arab," they are calling for new special privileges to be granted to Muslims and Arabs as a reward for setting tens of thousands of cars on fire, burning churches, nursery schools, hospitals, police stations, etc., torching cripples, beating old men to death, ad nauseam.
For example, from the New York Times:
[T]he French model has so far relied largely on expensive measures to keep poor Muslims fed, housed and educated, but has not effectively addressed the social or political isolation they feel from job and housing discrimination, and has actually limited their ability to define themselves as a political interest group. Affirmative action, a cornerstone of the American approach, has been a taboo here.
It's not enough to let a group of people who are profoundly hostile to your civilization into your country, then give them free housing, free health care, and free money, so that they have lots of free time to burn your cities down — no, in order to be more inclusive, you also need to discriminate against normal French people, giving hiring priority to the Muslims who have been setting their schools and churches on fire.
The Times will be relieved to know that the abomination known as affirmative action is not so taboo in France as they might think. According to Bloomberg.com, "Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy advocates affirmative action 'a la francaise' for ethnic minorities as part of his 2007 electoral platform."
I don't know if there really is such a thing as racism against Arabs in France, or if it's so exaggerated by the media as to be essentially a fiction, like alleged racism against blacks in the USA. But if you reward French Arabs for two weeks of rioting by granting them job preferences in a country that, thanks to socialism, doesn't have enough jobs to go around, there certainly will be resentment in the future. Another thing you can count on, obviously, is more riots.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister and clueless weenie Dominique de Villepin has "announced that the government will accelerate by 18 months its plan to renovate poor urban areas and triple the number of scholarships granted to students in the most troubled neighborhoods" according to the Washington Times. de Villepin rules out using the army to defend their country from being burned down on the grounds that "We have not reached that point." After all, the Eiffel Tower is still standing, so how serious can the situation be? Maybe a few bribes will placate the Arabs... at least for a while.
The fact that liberals actually favor rewarding the behavior that has been on exhibit in France is proof positive that the depravity and self-destructiveness of moonbattery know absolutely no limits.

Hmmmm.
For the same behaviors I would have been grounded, jailed, suffered some consequences for my actions. (A novel concept these days.) Not rewarded.
France: leading the way in rewarding thuggery, setting a shining example for the world. The worldwide headquarters of Thugs R Us must be pleased.

This is all so Pavlovian: If you feed a dog everytime he barks... he'll bark more. If you feed a dog everytime he growls... he'll growl more. If you feed a dog everytime he bites you... he'll chew your ass off. France, in about 5 to 10 years will get it's ass chewed off, unless the "right" gains control. Only problem is, that the "right" in Europe often resembles Adolf Hilter more than it does what we normally consider to be the "right" in North America. Europe, in my opinion has just seeded itself with cancer, and the surgery to remove it will be nasty... I just hope that Canada and the USA don't get sucked into helping those ungrateful idiots... they brought this on themselves and all the while they were slagging America... Funny; what goes around comes around!
