Islamic Cartoons

Some have hoped that eventually the ghastly Islamic fundamentalist regime running Iran would change from within. With the ascension of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the position of President, it has — but not for the better. The future looks to be worse yet.

You might remember Ahmadinejad from the outrageous seizure of our embassy in Tehran. In addition to terrorism, his resume includes stints as torturer and executioner. He is now emerging as the primary advocate for the destruction of Israel.

Showing an awareness that you can never start too early when it comes to inculcating hatred, Ahmadinejad's campaign to whip up support for his death to Israel platform includes cartoons for children that make UNICEF's bombed Smurfs commercial look downright wholesome by comparison.

The gruesome cartoons demonize Israelis and glorify suicide attacks on them. In one, Israeli soldiers smash in a mother's face and shoot a defenseless father while a little kid watches in terror. The only appropriate response, of course, is to strap on some explosives and kill a few Jews. This shows "the Zionists how brave and heroic are the children of Palestine."

The kids who grow up on this stuff will someday soon inherit an Iran with nuclear weapons.

For the morbidly curious, you can see the cartoons (with subtitles) at MEMRI TV. They also have transcripts. Needless to say, they are not advised for children.
