Happy Thanksgiving!

Many say Thanksgiving is America's favorite holiday. But moonbats don't care much for holidays, as the point of them is to celebrate a culture they hate — ours. Thanksgiving is certainly no exception.

Proving that there isn't anything leftist screwballs won't inject race into, Robert Jensen at AlterNet calls Thanksgiving a "white-supremacist holiday." With a holier-than-thou piousness that would have had our pilgrim forefathers telling him to lighten up, Jensen intones:

One indication of moral progress in the United States would be the replacement of Thanksgiving Day and its self-indulgent family feasting with a National Day of Atonement accompanied by a self-reflective collective fasting.

The story of America as told by moonbats is simple. The stone-age savages who first immigrated to this hemisphere ran barefoot through the snow in a state of primordial bliss, like something out of Jean-Jacques Rousseau's silliest "noble savage" fantasies. Then the next wave of immigrants came, this one across the Atlantic instead of the Bering Straight, and everything went rotten. Next thing you know we had democracy, women's rights, cold beer, hospitals, all sorts of horrible stuff. Gone were the good old days when you could spend an afternoon watching people get their hearts cut out with obsidian knives. Now we have to settle for baseball in air-conditioned stadiums.

Thanksgiving not only gives us a chance to acknowledge how extremely lucky we are to live in the greatest nation in the history of the world, it also represents the end of the Stone Age in North America. So moonbats have two good reasons to hate it.

When Europeans arrived, they brought the wheel to this hemisphere for the very first time. They introduced the concept of riding on horses instead of hunting them to extinction. There was bound to be some conflict between cultures separated by thousands of years of development, and as usually happens, the advanced culture replaced the backwards one. Absent this process, the human race would not advance, and we would still be running around in loin-clothes with our teeth rotting out of our mouths, wishing we could find something to eat.

Self-loathing kooks like Jensen describe this progress as "genocide." His admitted goals in taking Thanksgiving as an opportunity to propagandize against America are to "humble our proud nation" and to "undermine young people's faith in our country."

But unless Jensen lives in a teepee off what he can catch with a spear, he is not only a fool but a hypocrite.

Wonderfully said. I've been wondering, how are the liberal moonbats able to live with all the pent up guilt. I mean each one is like 3 Jewish mothers, shouldn't they either explode from the pressure of all that, or maybe jump off a cliff to save mankind from some horrible thing they might do?

I think, in the name of balance, it should be pointed out that US history on the subject of the indians - opr native americans if that's what people prefer, I'm not picky meself - is not entirely spotless. Having said that, I suspect they'd be in a much better position than they are if only they hadn't been herded on to reservations by that era's version of the moonbat, and had instead been allowed to simply integrate with American society. Native Americans that did integrate are generally a very successful bunch.

When did guilt become collective? Its hard enough to make individuals take responsibility for their actions. Prisons are full of men who can't take responsibility for what they've done. How do you make an entire nation feel guilty?
For example: We are only 60 years removed from World War Two. Millions of veterans (both Allies and Axis) and millions of victims of the Holocaust are still with us. Yet no rational person would expect a present day German, under the age of 70, feel guilt for the crimes of the Nazis. Jensen would have us feel guilt for something that happened almost 400 years ago!
There is a line somewhere in the Old Testament about the sins of the fathers being visited upon the sons to the 3rd and 4th generations. Though of course, God always holds out the possiblity of forgiveness to the individual. Three or four generations is what? About a hundred years, right? Hell's Bells! This man holds a grudge longer than God Almighty!
Check out the article this came from. Jensen is the author of "The Heart of Whiteness:Confronting Race, Racism and White Privilege." Neat title Jensen. Did you rip that one off from Joseph Conrad? Its probably the typical publish-or -perish tome that the average citizen wouldn't read unless he was strapped to a bed in the loony bin.

I leave you with this quote:

"A school of persistent revisionists remains in the United States-survivors of the campaigners after the First World War, who still regard their own government as more wicked than any other. Their works are not impressive from a scholarly point of view."
A.J.P. Taylor THE ORIGINS OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR, 1961

Happy Thanksgiving!

New evidence suggests that it was Europeans, not Asians, who found America first, and from five to six thousand years sooner. With this in mind, one can simply say that we just showed up to bring our cousins into the modern era. Of course, all humans are cousins to some degree, and it's unclear to me why some among us would want others to be forced to live without at least some of the comforts of modern life, like medical care and a steady diet, but I guess that's why they call them moonbats.
