Carter Concurs: Ambushing Bush Trumps National Interest

Have I mentioned that in addition to being very possibly the worst president this country has ever had, Jimmy Carter is without any doubt the worst ex-president? Still unable to refrain from trying to hamstring his own country in the international arena, Jimbo has announced that the Bush Administration's observation that Saddam possessed weapons of mass destruction was "manipulated, at least" in order to mislead the world into going to war.

Apparently Carter offered no explanation for all those dead Kurdish children that were gassed to death with Saddam's nonexistent WMDs, nor did he explain why everyone else believed in Saddam's WMDs, including both the Clintons.

Carter also expressed his approval for Harry Reid's childish stunt of forcing a "secret session" of the Senate in order to focus media attention on similar claims that Bush somehow misused intelligence in the prelude to the war.

Of course the intent is to take cheap political shots at the President, but the effect of these "manipulated intelligence" allegations is to weaken the United States and strengthen its adversaries — not that this is likely to dissuade either Carter or Reid from continuing to shout their Michael Moore-esque accusations at anyone who will listen. Who knows, maybe one day Reid too will be able to stick enough knives in his own country's back to win a Nobel Prize and get a submarine named after him.

Somewhere an attack sub really needs its name changed.

Ex-president "Peckerhead" Carter should realize that his constant criticizing Republican Presidents keeps him a Democrat party favorite and a media darling. Would someone please tell me what he accomplished as President of the United States besides getting soundly defeated for a second term, thank God. Him giving opinions on the current state of public affairs is like asking a chicken what it thinks of Colonel Sanders.

By coincidence, today’s WSJ has a deliciously scathing review of He-who-should-never-been-elected-in-the-first-place's latest book. I’ve not posted the link here as it is probably subscriber only and thus, inaccessible. But there’s always hard copy.
