Ahmadinejad's Potentially Apocalyptic Delusions

President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave a truly remarkable speech before the United Nations in September — or at least, he seems to thinks so.

According to Ahmadinejad, he was told that a presumably supernatural light surrounded him while he was delivering his speech, beginning when he spoke the words, "in the name of God." Claims the Iranian Prez:

I felt it myself, too. I felt that all of a sudden the atmosphere changed there, and for 27–28 minutes all the leaders did not blink.

There are probably more than a few UN diplomats who couldn't go that long without scratching their armpits, much less without blinking, but Ahmadinejad insists he's not kidding:

I am not exaggerating when I say they did not blink; it's not an exaggeration, because I was looking. They were astonished as if a hand held them there and made them sit. It had opened their eyes and ears for the message of the Islamic Republic.

Ahmandinejad's supernatural delusions of grandeur are disturbing, because within the next few years this kook will have control of nuclear weapons. He has already called for the destruction of Israel.

Reports suggest that Ahmadinejad is fanatically devoted to the "12th Imam," Imam Mahdi, who he may believe will soon be reappearing from out of the pages of legend, ushering in a holocaust of "Islamic justice." Could it be that our old friend from the embassy seizure thinks he is the 12th Imam — or expects others to think it?

Or, maybe his fly was open?

Further proof there is something strange in the water at the UN. May John Bolton always drink bottled water.

Guess we can trot out Nostradamus and that blue fez guy to scare the LLLs into supporting an attack on Iran since it would fall into their idea of a genuine threat.
