Vietnam Vets Sue John Kerry
Bad news for Hanoi John Kerry: his despicable behavior is catching up to him in the form of a lawsuit filed by the Vietnam veterans that he has seen fit to abuse.
The plaintiffs include The Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation; Red, White, and Blue Productions; and journalist/Vietnam vet Carlton Sherwood. Their suit asserts that Hanoi John and his former Pennsylvania campaign manager Tony Podesta libeled them, slandered them, and caused them financial harm while using hardball tactics to suppress the documentary Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal prior to the 2004 election.
But the suit goes beyond the dirty deeds of Kerry and his henchmen during the last presidential campaign. It goes all the way back to his treasonous behavior during the war. From the lawsuit:
Sherwood established plaintiff Red, White, and Blue productions an independent film company which produced the documentary Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal....This documentary tells the story of Kerry's involvement with the VVAW (Vietnam Veterans Against the War) and his participation in the so-called "Winter Soldier" investigation...Stolen Honor also reports that...Kerry testified before the United States Senate that during the Winter Soldier investigation Vietnam veterans testified to war crimes...not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day to day basis with full awareness of officers at all levels of command...in fact the stories told by participants in the Winter Solider investigation were outrageous and slanderous falsehoods against Vietnam veterans...Stolen Honor accurately reported that Kerry's statements.. were lies concocted by antiwar activists...Kerry knew this testimony was false...Vietnam veterans including former POW's had been falsely tarred...Sherwood produced Stolen Honor to bring this otherwise ignored history to light ...and to explain the public sense of betrayal felt by many Vietnam veterans- particularly among former POW's — against Kerry and others who built their reputations slandering America's Vietnam veterans.
The suit also makes note of the fact that Kerry's contemptible lies were used by the North Vietnamese to threaten and demoralize American POWs.
This is certainly an intriguing case, considering that many people have been duped into thinking of Kerry as some kind of war hero. Look for the MSM to cover it avidly (just kidding).
In other Kerry news, it appears that Jean François, following the lead of the esteemed professor and unmitigated moonbat Cornel West, has released a rap album:
Hat tip: Byron.

May we question his patriotism yet?

Risking your life in defense of your nation is the type of Patriotism I would certainly restrain from questioning.
John Kerry remains for me a great man, with dubious political instincts, most notably his decision to reference Cheney's gay daughter in the third debate. You should remember that a couple of percentage points in either Ohio or Florida, after the scrutiny of a national election, and he would be President of the US, and I think it's hard not to argue right now that he would be doing a better job than this current Administration is.

I wonder if there will be a bonus track on the CD?
"Don't cha think my medals are fake? Don't cha?"

Hey, Graham, Kerry would have done a great job...BEFORE HE DIDN'T! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

You actually find that more noteworthy than his denigrating American servicemen as rapists and butchers. That says a lot.
Kerry is an effete poppinjay with no governing principles, who wanted to be president primarily for ego gratification, which means his administration would have been run by his appointees. Judging by the people he surrounded himself with in his campaign, it meant a terror policy designed to appease the ACLU, a foreign policy designed to appease the UN, and a domestic policy designed to appease Hollywood and Manhattan liberals. No thank you.

V the K,
When Kerry denigrated American servicemen, he got positive political milage out of it. In fact, he established himself in politics that way.
Your comment about Kerry being an effete poppinjay is right on, as is what follows. Brilliant, in fact.
It would have made for a powerful soundbite during the election campaign! How could Kerry have even countered such a charge except by making up some governing principles?

Don't forget to mention that Carlton Sherwood once opposed the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, DC. It was trendy for Conservatives to oppose it back in the 80s -- with Reagan's Interior Secretary James Watt trying to block it and calling it "an ugly, black ditch."
Sherwood produced an error filled report that the foundation raising money for the Memorial was corrupt. It led to Republicans calling for a GAO investigation which proved Sherwood wrong and the foundation perfectly upright.
Sherwood's TV station wound up paying a $50,000 donation to get the foundation off it's back.
