Halloween Banned

The Grinch has stolen Halloween from the Underwood Elementary School in Newton, MA this year. Because the holiday offends the religious beliefs of a tiny minority of parents, there will be no fun for anyone. After all, we have to be tolerant!
''Not everyone is going to agree with the decision, and I really understand that," said principal David Castelline. ''But I felt the goal was really important to make it a respectful and open and welcoming place for all members of our community."
As always, "all members of our community" excludes normal Americans.
In place of Halloween, the kids get a sterile "celebration of fall," which would go nicely with a "celebration of winter" to replace Christmas, a "celebration of spring" to replace Easter, and a "celebration of summer" to replace the Fourth of July.
''It's not good," said one student. ''Last year we got a Halloween party and it was really fun."
Too bad the ACLU doesn't stick up for the rights of American kids to celebrate their own culture by dressing up for Halloween. But at least it stands up for the right of convicted sex offenders to give them candy (tip from V the K).
