2,000 Deaths Party Time
Zombie has put up a cheerful collection of happy San Francisco moonbats celebrating the death of the 2,000th American serviceman in Iraq. (Thanks to V the K for the tip.) Here's a sample:

How can anyone say Americans are dying for nothing? Even if you don't think spreading democracy or combating al Qaeda are worthwhile objectives, it's got to be worth something to bring such glad smiles to leftists' faces.
To give a little context to the 2,000 deaths incurred while fighting a genocidal dictator and the people who crashed jets full of Americans into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and will do worse if we don't stop them, here are some stats on American combat deaths from the Civil War Center:
- Civil War: 184,594
- World War I: 53,513
- World War II: 292,131
- Korean War: 33,651
- Vietnam War: 47,369
Every death is a tragedy. So is the failure to appreciate the meaning of the sacrifices being made on our behalf in Iraq.

To paraphase Golda Meir, "When will things change?" "When the left loves this country more than they hate George Bush." Ain't gonna happen, they are fools.

In context, the USA's population in the civil war period was about 10% of what it is now. 184,594 combat deaths in 1865 would be like 1,800,000 deaths today. U.S. Population in WWII was half what it is today, so those 292,131 combat deaths are more like 580,000 today.

Animal Rights Activist: Kill the Researchers
Washington, DC – During yesterday’s hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public works, long-time former Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine spokes-doctor Jerry Vlasak reiterated his support of murder and other violence against medical researchers whose lifesaving work requires the use of animals. Speaking of scientists who use lab rats in their search for cancer and AIDS cures, Vlasak insisted that if they “won’t stop when told to stop, one option would be to stop them using any means necessary.” Asked by Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) if he endorsed the use of deadly force, Vlasak insisted that murder “would be a morally justifiable solution.”
Note, these remarks come not from an isolated loon. Vlasak is a leader in the Animal Rights Terrorism Movement.

Here have another number...
1,501. Number of days it's been since George W. Bush promised he would catch Osama Bin Laden.
1,365 number of days it took the U.S. days to defeat the nation of Japan after Pearl Harbor was attacked.
...now watch this drive.

X, is that you, Hick? I thought that drivel looked familiar!

Leave it to Hick to cheer for Osama to remain free, if it makes Bush look bad. Sick bastard.

It's a sad day when conservatives belittle vigils and prayer meetings that honor our war dead.
Sadder still that they claim the number means little or nothing.
Liberals love this country and the men and women who serve it.
It's a shame the right loves the war more than the warrior.
Guess that's why six Iraq War veterans are running for Congress as Democrats in 2006.
The GOP can't recruit a single one.

You left off the number of dead Americans from another war...
Kosovo: 0

"Leave it to Hick to cheer for Osama to remain free, if it makes Bush look bad. Sick bastard."
I'm not "Hick". And no I'm not cheerleading here.
I just wanted to point out how shitty of a job Bush was doing.
Ah, wait-
He'll tell you..
"So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, [Kelly], to be honest with you. "

That wasn't a vigil, Hick...it was a hippy shin-dig. A reason for smelly useless cretins to get together, under a pungent cloud of B.O. and incense, to party.
Err...to "honor the dead."
And if liberals love this country and the troops, then Ted Kennedy is sober and monogamous.

If we're going to compare wars, lets compare them fairly. To date, the Iraq war has cost the lives of 2000 American soldiers over the course of two years. In comparison, the allies lost 2,200 men on the first day of Operation Overlord (That's D-day to you and me), and well over 120,000 casulaties (which includes injuries) were sustained in the first two months. In terms of percentages, the allies lost more of their forces in the opening days of Overlord than they lost in the entire Iraq war and the ensuing occupation.
People die in wars. Deal with it, and be glad the right side is winning. Or would you prefer we loose and hand over our lives to the kind of people that would chop your hand off for taking a piece of fruit?

"Or would you prefer we loose and hand over our lives to the kind of people that would chop your hand off for taking a piece of fruit?"
- Are we fighting Saudi Arabia? Or the United Arab Emirates? Uzbekistan, maybe? Is there something you're not telling us?

Archonix, I think you're confusing the poor moonbats when you say "the right side is winning." They may think you're referring to the Islamic terrorists as the right side, since they happen to think so.

Just more evidence to be used at the trial of the century, when all the leftards are rounded up and hanged en masse from every overpass from sea to shining sea, and their putrid corpses left for the crows.
Posted by: Improbulus Maximus at October 29, 2005 12:51 AM
Jonathan, I hadn't thought about that.
X, or whoever you are, it's been mentioned before that we're fighting militant Islam. We're fighting for our freedom against a group of people who believe that we don't deserve to live, let alone be free. It's all right their in the Qu'ran if you read it through the right goggles.
