Moonbats Converge on Washington, Few Seem to Notice

After hearing reports that a rally sponsored by the Stalinist front group International ANSWER drew such respected intellectuals as Cindy Sheehan, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson — as well as cultural heavy hitters in the prime of their career such as Joan Baez and Jessica Lange, and political powerhouses Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader — President Bush realized that he had no choice: He agreed to unilaterally withdraw all troops from Iraq immediately. A formal surrender to al Qaeda was not thought necessary; after a year or two of horrific blood letting, al Qaeda will surely be able to take over Iraq and translate the country's oil wealth into nuclear, chemical, and/or biological weapons that will render surrender on our part a superfluous formality.
Just kidding, fortunately.
Despite the MSM's attempts to portray the surrender-to-al-Qaeda movement as representing a rational point of view, even the Democratic Party knows better. You didn't see Hillary or even Hanoi John Kerry with an arm around the Ditch Witch last weekend. As far as I know, the only elected official involved was Cynthia McKinney, a malevolent kook who has publicly implied that the Bush Administration was in on 9/11, and who — when Rudy Giuliani turned down a handout from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal after 9/11 because it came with a "but you deserved it" message attached — wrote the slimy Prince pleading that other Americans would not be too proud to take the money.
Even the gushingly sympathetic New York Times buried the Sheehanista rally on page 26 Sunday morning. Poor Cindy, her 15 minutes are up and no one is paying attention anymore. Here's what she had to whine on Daily Kos recently (hat tip LGF, on a tip from V the K):
i am watching cnn and it is 100 percent rita...even though it is a little wind and a little rain...it is bad, but there are other things going on in this country today...and in the world!!!!
Imagine, wasting time covering a stupid little hurricane, as if Cindy Sheehan and her revolting left-wing freak show weren't the center of the universe.
