Kudos to Patriots Fans
Last week rap star Kanye West used a celebrity telethon intended to raise money for Katrina survivors to worsen the situation by sowing seeds of racial discord and tinfoil-hat moonbattery with the asinine declaration that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" and the demented assertion, "They've given them permission to go down and shoot us."
Apparently this didn't sit well with Patriots fans. When West appeared in last night's kickoff show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA (via video from Los Angeles), the left-leaning Boston Globe reports that he was
booed loudly by Patriots fans who evidently didn't appreciate his nationally televised comment the other night on a Hurricane Katrina benefit that President Bush ''doesn't care about black people." The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number.
Careful, Senators Kennedy and Kerry. It looks like not all of your constituents are tuned to your frequency.
Hat tip: Drudge Report.

Someone Call Kanye West: White America Plots to Destroy Another Majority-Minority City
Quick, name an American city of 450,000 where the majority of the population is non-white, where a quarter of the population lives in poverty, and where most of the city streets are, even on a dry day, below sea level. New Orleans, of course.But also Long Beach, California.
The city in southern Los Angeles county stands an average three feet below sea level, compared to eight feet for New Orleans. Yet despite all the talk from the political left that the Bush administration has effectively drowned New Orleans residents, that same political left is working assiduously to leave Long Beach residents exposed.
Every time the storm swells and high tides of an El Nino flood the city of Long Beach, the only barriers protecting its poor Blacks, Hispanics, Cambodians and others from drowning are berms and sea walls. Yet across Los Angeles county, well-funded, white environmentalists and politicians who prefer pristine beach views uber alles do battle against such walls. ... (A)s SurfShot Magazine puts it, "seawalls are ugly." Pro-beach, anti-wall environmentalists are regular allies of Sens. Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein, both of whom are sharp critics of the Bush administration's handling of Hurricane Katrina.

The House yesterday passed an anodyne resolution commemorating the fourth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. It extended sympathy to the victims and survivors; honored the military, first responders, and others who helped; thanked foreign leaders for their support; declared that America is not waging war "on any people or any faith"; reaffirmed a commitment to the global war on terrorism; and vowed "never [to] forget the sacrifices made" on 9/11 or to "bow to terrorist demands."
No one could disagree with that, right? Not quite. The House vote for the resolution was 402-6; here are the six far-left Democrats who voted "no":
* John Conyers (Mich.)
* Barbara Lee (Calif.)
* Jim McDermott (Wash.)
* Cynthia McKinney (Ga.)
* Pete Stark (Calif.)
* Lynn Woolsey (Calif.)
But, whatever you do, don't question their patriotism.

Great post! I love it when justice is served not by the MSM, but by the people themselves. Given that this West is the typical celeb narcissist, being booed is likely the most devastating punishment that could be dealt out. I'm going to sleep better tonight.

I posted something about this on my blog (shameless plug...sorry, Van!) :-)
Basically, I find it hilarious that he was panned so badly by people in Boston...not exactly a hotbed of pro-Bush support! I'm guessing they found the race-baiting comments for an otherwise non-partisan charity event pretty repulsive.

This act by real people just sorta gives you a sense that maybe, just maybe, all the other racism and attack-n-blame crappola from the left isn't sitting real well with the American public generally.
Methinks the Dems are going to have some surprise fallout after their grotesque behavior this week, and that of their moonbattish allies such as Kanye West.

I thought of something last night. Most of Holland is below sea level. Yet I don't recall ever reading or seeing anything about thousands of Dutch being wiped out when the levees broke. I know they don't get hurricanes over there, but they do get some nasty storms from the North Sea. How do the Dutch manage to stay safe? Anybody know? (And don't give me that bit about the kid with his finger in the dike!)

Well damn, Phil...do you want answers, or don't you?? :-)
