Hillary Throws in Her Lot With the Cuckoos on Roberts
Hillary Clinton is between a rock and a hard place. She wants to come across as reasonable enough to get elected, and yet the Democratic Party is increasingly falling under the domination of rabid fanatics who regard fair play as akin to collusion with the enemy.
The Roberts nomination had to present a real quandary for her. As far as I know, no one has questioned Roberts' qualifications. Even Patrick Leahy, hardly a moderate, voted to confirm him. Yet the foamy-mouthed Sheehanista Deaniac set will never forgive a stance that falls short of total dedication to obstruction. They require that any Republican nominee be voted against for the sin of being a Republican nominee.
This evening Drudge reports that Hillary has made up her mind, and has thrown in her lot with the fanatics. She will vote against Roberts, regardless of his qualifications.
Three years to go to the election and the moderate mask is already slipping off her face.

Interesting, a little unexpected given her need for the center to have a prayer of being prez. Did Dick Morris predict a NO vote? I can't recall.
Then again, she IS meeting with Muther Sheehan.
Of course, it all comes down to money. She fears losing the bucks from the hardcore leftwing activists, she sees what they said about Leahy when he voted yay.

I think that you people are confused. If you say "fanatic" then "moderate" realy quickly, then repeat it again and again, they start to sound the same. Go ahead... try it!

Hillary needs to position herself on something that "safely" identifies her as a liberal now that the left's "boytoy", Algore is chumming for the nomination again.
Since Roberts is a sure confirm, her "vote" against him is a safe way of being able to appeal to the lefties.
