Hard Times for Leftist Propagandists
Air America continues to thrash out in all directions, grasping for whatever cash it can find to sustain its pathetic existence from one day to the next. Leather Penguin (tip from V the K) reports on a fundraising letter they are sending out, begging their handful of listeners to become "Air America Associates" — i.e., to donate money to this corrupt enterprise as though it were a charity. Just like with NPR you get cheesy little "gifts" in return for the money. But unlike NPR, it isn't a tax write-off, and unlike NPR, Air America hasn't been allocated a government teat to suck on when the free market shows the good sense not to sustain it. If you have suffered a head injury that has left you willing to spend $100 on three bumper stickers and a "stylish tote," here's your chance. But hey, this is less pathetic than stealing from a charity.
Fortunately for the leaky boat known as Air America, its like-minded allies in the mainstream media are keeping its scandals quiet, lest the bad publicity it so richly deserves sink it completely. The print Washington Post has apparently never even mentioned the looting of Gloria Wise. The two liberal New York papers, the Times and the Daily News, have barely touched on it, and not since early August.
Unfortunately for Air America, their MSM allies aren't doing well either. NY Times stock hit a new low after their announcement that they are laying off 500 workers. They too seem to be desperate for cash — they are now asking people to pay $49.95 per year for online access to an editorial page that features cartoonish left-wing fools Frank Rich, Thomas Friedman, Paul Krugman, and Maureen Dowd. If they really want people to read this crap, they ought to be paying us. At fifty bucks, they could at least throw in a stylish tote.

I thought everyone on the left thought making money was eeevil...so why is the Times worried about cash flow? Can't Pinch and Dowdy take pay cuts to keep the workers? That's usually what they preach to other corporate entities...

100 bucks for 3 cheesy bumperstickers I wouldn't deface a Yugo with and a "stylish" tote that looks like a recycled Whole Earth grocery bag. And they take major credit cards too! Wow. Sign me up for 2 of those deals...
Maybe they should hire the Rev. Al to send a prayer cloth with the deal.

Too funny, stealing from charities, begging from the public, what will come next, robbery on the streets? Could not happen to a nicer bunch of moonbats.

When I first read the e-mail, I was just kinda "You gotta be kidding?"...but then they actually uttered the words "stylish tote" and I felt like I fell into an episode of Monty Python.
Calling the Air Idiot clown car dumb is an insult to clown cars.

Speaking of Far Left radio moonbats (or in this case, dingbat) Nina Totenberg asks Senate to arrange SCOTUS hearings to accommodate her schedule
"Nearby, Nina Totenberg, the legal reporter for National Public Radio, cornered the chief of staff of Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Penn., who is chairman of the Judiciary Committee; Totenberg was lobbying to schedule the next round of Supreme Court hearings around her vacation plans, which she had scheduled to coincide with her wedding anniversary."

what's the big deal, republicans steal all the time...
at least the money was going to a movement that will bring more money in for the kids...
lawyers have to go to schol for a long time, like doctors, and they have to pay back their student loans..
al franken is funny, he's just an entertainer like Rush is, right. He doesnt have anything to do with the money, that's the office's job..
my pathetic leftist excuse software is almost ready.

Air America is a train wreck in progress.
It will either go down hard (spawning secondary stories of bias in the media) or it will suck cash out of potential liberal activists pockets to no noticable effect.
Liberals money spending to embarrass themselves. What's not to like?

The failure of Air America is just another example of how out of the mainstream is the liberal left. People are not willing to listen to a bunch of hate mongers trash the United States. The citizens of this country for the most part are; pro United States, pro military and pro religion. The left just does not get it.
