Shrillary Takes on Sexual Predators

Hillary Clinton has got a bee in her bonnet regarding sexual predators. She wants President Bush to sign legislation currently in the House that would make a national registry of sex offenders available to the public. She is also cosponsor of a more comprehensive bill that would mandate GPS tracking of violent sex offenders, establish a new federal sex offender DNA database, and make neglecting to register as a sex offender a deportable offense.

A lot of people are getting fed up with sexual predators. But Senator Clinton is not the ideal choice to lead an assault on them. As NewsMax.com (link via V the K) points out:

In comments covered by her official Senate Web site, Hillary made no mention of her husband, who was accused by several women of sexual assault before he was impeached for perjuring himself in a sexual harassment lawsuit.
Likewise, reporters declined to ask her about a Clinton era directive that required state Medicaid programs to cover Viagra, which made the impotency drug available to nearly 800 sex offenders nationwide.

Available, that is, at taxpayer expense.

But just in case this is more than another insincere pre-2008 feint to the right, Bill might want to keep a low profile for awhile.

Update
By popular demand, here's the title of the NewsMax.com article:

Aw, come on, you have to quote the NewsMax headline. I would love to buy the author a drink who got that past his editors.

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw the title - it could be interpreted a number of ways. I applaud you for reading the article - I couldn't get past the headline! HEHEHEHE

Since it's from NewsMax.com, I'm guessing that the editors saw an opportunity and pounced.

BWWAAAHHAAAHHHAAA!

Are we to assume that the Bill referred to is THE ONE AND ONLY Bill? Am I an idiot for asking?

Who better than Hillary to put some teeth into a sex predator law? I imagine this is just another step in her efforts to appear "mainstream."

But I still can't get over that lefties like Hill and Bill promulgated rules for conduct in federal workplaces that expressly forbid the type of conduct Bill engaged in.

Ooopsss! I almost forgot that standards of conduct, as well as ethics are only meant to be applied to Republicans. Senator Hatfield (R-OR) got run out of DC on a rail for kissing a staffer in an elevator. When it came to Clinton, "it's his private life."

Funny Stuff! Hillary is such a nut job! She has the morals of a prostitute and is no position to be putting forth this type of legislation.

I think the sex offender registry should be public so that those who commit those type of crimes can be shamed out of society, but this needs to be lead by someone without a hidden agenda.

It would be like having jeffrey dahmer lead up legislation to change health codes for resturants.
