Moonbat Mom Cindy Sheehan Dishonors Son's Memory
What comes first, mental illness or moonbattery? Did grief shatter Cindy Sheehan's mind, making her susceptible to recruitment by activist kooks? Or did infantile leftist politics gradually suck away her sanity, as well as her respect for herself and others?
Sheehan — the deranged but media-savvy mother of Casey Sheehan, who heroically sacrificed his life for his country and for freedom in Iraq — has managed to draw attention to herself and her half-baked cause by camping out outside President Bush's Crawford ranch.
The point of her vigil is to force the President to meet with her. But Bush did meet with her, a year ago last June, soon after her son was killed. Here's what she had to say at the time, as reported by Drudge:
I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis. I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith.
Apparently the President's condolences had a very positive effect. Her family felt whole again for the first time since Casey's death. Said Sheehan:
That was the gift the President gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together.
But now her story has changed. Recalling the same event, she now claims:
He [President Bush] wouldn't look at the pictures of Casey. He didn't even know Casey's name. He came in the room and the very first thing he said is, "So who are we honoring here?" He didn't even know Casey's name. He didn't want to hear it. He didn't want to hear anything about Casey. He wouldn't even call him "him" or "he." He called him "your loved one."
When she manages to extort her second meeting with the President (which hopefully will not happen until long after hell freezes over), Sheehan intends to demand that he tell her why he murdered her son. The question must have slipped her mind during the first meeting.
Naturally, the mainstream media are eating up her little stunt, and discretely failing to mention what a phony she is. But the real insult isn't to the President, or to our intelligence — it's to her own deceased son, whom she is shamelessly exploiting for cheap political purposes, and whose noble sacrifice is being discounted and discredited.

Watch out Van Helsing. Posting this story is tantamount to inciting a lefty riot!
You may recall when the President even mentions September 11th Democrats howl that he is exploiting the tragedy.
I visited Sheehans hometown newspaper, The Reporter and found a running exchange on this issue http://mikesamerica.blogspot.com/#112352933777228318
Apparently, if you question this woman's transparent political activity, you'll be accused of imposing on her rights to "free speech." A new variant on the lefty squeal that anyone who questions Kerry's war policy is "unAmerican, unpatriotic" as Ms. Heinz Kerry said during the campaign.

Her loss was tragic, and so one has to have some sympathy for her. However, for her to lie about the president's behavior for the purposes of undermining morale and support for the war effort is contemptible. For her to put the lives of his comrades-in-arms at risk by giving the enemy propaganda is contemptible. And, as always, exploiting the corpse of a loved one in order to become a media whore is contemptible in the extreme. Ask Michael Berg or Courtney Love.

She's talking on the Tony Snow show right now. She's being whiny, evasive, and reading talking points instead of giving answers.

I do feel sorry for her son. He must be spinning in his grave at her actions.

In case you had any sympathy left, More Cindy Sheehan Moonbat Ravings
My absolute favorite guest of the evening was Sen. John Warner, powerful chair of the Senate Armed Disservices Committee. Of course, he fell in lockstep behind his Führer and praised the speech and how, although we have "all" paid a terrible price for this invasion and occupation...I finally got on to speak for my 82 seconds (all the time Larry King Live could spare for the peace message) about how this war is a catastrophe and how we should bring the troops home and quit forcing the Iraqi people to pay for our government's hubris and quit forcing innocent children to suffer so we can allegedly fight terrorism somewhere besides America. How absolutely racist and immoral is it to take America's battles to another land and make an entire country pay for the crimes of others? To me, this is blatant genocide. How dare we export our brand of flag-waving death and devastation to a people who have been through so much already?

Do you right-wing idiots have NO SHAME??? Aren't you supposed to be the "Support the Troops" crowd? Please explain to me exactly how making light of Casey's mother's suffering is supporting HIM, one of OUR NATION'S, not yours only, fallen troops? Is that any way to treat a TRUE patriot's mother? Then again, they lied to Pat Tillman's mom, so I guess Ms. Sheehan is fair game too.
And why is your "Flight-Suit-Wearing-Mission-Accomplished-Hero" so afraid to speak to her?

Check out this Byron York Article: Cindy Sheenan: Without Internet, U.S. Would Be a “Fascist State”
Our government is run by one party, every level," Sheehan said during a conference call with bloggers representing sites like democrats.com, codepink4peace.org, and crooksandliars.com, "and the mainstream media is a propaganda tool for the government." Sheehan also called the 2004 presidential election "the election, quote-unquote, that happened in November."The conference call was moderated by Democratic strategist Joe Trippi, who managed former Vermont governor Howard Dean's presidential campaign in 2003 and 2004.
She's a tool as well as a moonbat.

Wow. Attacking the mother of a dead soldier. You don't even try to attack her message, just attack a grieving, Gold Star mother.
Have you right wingers no shame?

Steve, Randy: Obviously it's the hard core leftist ideologues who are exploiting this mentally ill woman, Cindy Sheehan herself who is exploiting her dead son, and the mainstream media who have the outrageous gall to report this absurd story without mentioning that Bush already met with her and she praised him afterward who have no shame.

I'm willing to leave Cindy Sheehan alone once she stops making herself a propaganda tool for the enemy. Her actions will only succeed in inspiring the terrorists into killing more mother's sons.

Hey right wing bloggers! Do you enjoy making fun of grieving mothers or are you paid for it? Sheehan's first reaction means nothing compared to her hindsight on the situation, which was Bush simply getting a photo-op with a grieving war mother. She may have been initially satisfied while the press was asking her for a reaction, but when looking back a little later, realized it was all about Bush looking good, not about honoring Casey. You should all be ashamed.
