German Minister Blames Bush for Katrina
It's one thing for kooky leftist bloggers to blame Bush for the weather, but aren't government ministers supposed to act like grownups? Apparently not in some administrations. Here's what Germany's Environmental Minister Jürgen Trittin has to say on the subject of Bush's complicity with Katrina, via Davids Medienkritik:
By neglecting environmental protection, America's president shuts his eyes to the economic and human damage that natural catastrophes like Katrina inflict on his country and the world's economy. ... When reason finally pays a visit to climate-polluter headquarters, the international community has to be prepared to hand America a worked out proposal for the future of international climate protection. The German Government stands ready.
So thoughtful of the German Government, which has managed to cripple Germany's once mighty economy with senseless regulations, to offer to do the same to ours. As Leigh points out at The House of Wheels, when it comes to blaming Bush, it's getting hard to distinguish between the leftists who mean it and the satirists who make fun of them.

Thanks for bringing some science into the matter, Van Helsing. There was also a Cato institute climatologist on Brit Hume last night going over similar data. It thoroughly infuriates me how idiotic the pro-global warming, global warming causes hurricanes crowd is, and how they're taken seriously by so many.
On Rush today I was reminded that Kyoto, if passed, would have "reduced" the "Global Warming" over the next half-century or so from 3 deg C to 2.5 deg C or some such ridiculously small amount.
To think that humans caused GW is to then, by definition, presume that humans can change it, and thereby, change any major natural meterologic event. Preposterous. Might as well start working on earthquake/tsunami prevention, too.

Supposedly, Intelligent Design can not be taught in schools because it is junk science. So, why do they teach kids that Global Warming is entirely the fault of humans?
The Global Warming cult actually has more in common with hard-core anti-evolutionists. They both believe the world is in a constant, unchanging state unless acted upon by humans.
