Cindy Sheehan, Media Whore

Not that I'm complaining about the makeup. If this is what she looks like after getting made over by pros, she would probably scare Medusa when she wakes up in the morning:

I guess that photo-op of President Clinton at Sec. Ron Brown's funderal did not teach her anything. If you are in a public area and supposed to show a somber attitude, then keep it up and do not joke and laugh. It makes people to start to wonder.

Did I mention that the moonbat left is an endless source of material. NW Moonbats Imposing Communism

A South Sound group is lobbying for a new law that would grade corporations on living wages, union rights and how much money they pump into the community. Businesses receiving a failing grade would have to leave town.

“It’s an attempt to reign in bad corporate behavior at the local level,” said Jacqui Brown-Miller, who helped write the proposal. “We support a democracy in which citizens are in control of the government, who in turn are in control of corporations, and not the other way around.”

Moonbats Balming Hurricane Katrina on Bush

And, no doubt some of the loose moonbats who post here will agree.

Not taking any sides here, but how did you know she wasn't aware of the camera in the second picture?

Have to agree with ticklebug. Afterall, she's looking at the camera and waving to it.

how did you know she wasn't aware of the camera in the second picture?

I'm guessing that by the look on her face, she was "three sheets to the wind" and didn't know what planet she was on...much less where a camera was.

Yeah, all grieving moms wear red short shorts...

Okay, so I took a little poetic license on this one. Maybe she was aware of the camera. But I doubt she was aware that the picture would be made public.

More on Mother Moonbat's Publicity Machine

A notice on Cindy Sheehan's website, meetwithcindy.org, asks for donors who might be able to offer a camper for Sheehan's upcoming cross-country tour. At the end of the note, readers with something to offer are asked to "please call organizer Lisa Fithian."

To anyone familiar with the world of professional protesting — protests against globalism, capitalism, war, police tactics, and dozens of other causes — the presence of Fithian is a sign that the "one mom" crusade was never just one mom. Fithian is a legendary organizer who operates in the world of anti-globalism anarchists, antiwar protesters, and union activists

Although she has received virtually no attention from reporters covering Sheehan, Fithian has been part of the Crawford protest from the very beginning. She was with Sheehan in Dallas at a meeting of the antiwar group Veterans for Peace during the first days of August when the decision was made for Sheehan to go to the president's ranch. On August 6, when Sheehan went to Crawford — in a bus with the words "Impeachment Tour" emblazoned on the side — Fithian went along. "I came the first day and helped her [Sheehan] set up the initial encampment," Fithian said. With the exception of one brief absence, she has been there ever since.

Apparently, Mother Moonbat did not spontaneously show up in Crawford, her whole scam was arranged by a professional left-wing agitator. Again, I ask, where in the grieving process does hiring a publicist fit in.

So, the MSM has run with the line that they were "lied to" by President Bush. I wonder if they'll be as outraged that they were lied to by Cindy Sheehan.

Actually, I don't.

But what is the context of that last photo there?
(The Yahoo! photo page at Charles Johnson's blog entry has expired.)

I don't doubt that the grief that she feels for her son is authentic, and that that is what motivates her to do what she is doing, with regard to her opposition to the war (whether you agree with those actions or not).

As for the first photo, many people do that, before a major video appearance, regardless of what the topic is.

Using a pre-video image of someone before he/she went on the air is what Michael Moore did against President Bush, in his mockumentary. This type of thing is usually irrelevant to the debate, regarding the main issue.

Posted by: Aakash at September 11, 2005 6:42 PM

But Aakash, the issue being addressed here is the fact that the whole Sheehan phenomenon is phony and contrived.
