Air America Stiffs Employees

It looks like the limousine leftists at Err America should be on the lookout for more impoverished children to rob. Brian Maloney reports (hat tip: Little Green Footballs) that employees "were apparently stunned to receive a last-minute notice sent at 5:09pm Thursday, July 28th, indicating direct deposits would not be made Friday, as expected."

Although Air America bigwigs tried to blame the payroll processing company, the real culprit would seem to be cash flow difficulties, exacerbated by the growing Gloria Wise scandal that the MSM will not be able to keep a lid on indefinitely. Apparently the idea of throwing Al Franken's bloated salary overboard in order to keep the ship from sinking — or even just trimming it down a little, so they won't be tempted to steal from inner-city children — is off the table.

Given their ever deteriorating reputation and their encouraging lack of listeners, it's unlikely the Air America folks will be raising money the old-fashioned way — through advertising. Unless they can find another charity to knock over, they are going to need a very rich sugar daddy. I would image the messages are piling up on George Soros' answering machine.

AAR couldn't make payroll? Oh, my! Is it because Rush Limbaugh stole their payroll to pay for oxycontin?

That's Rob's theory anyway.

Heard AAR receieved a call from Smith Barney, if you want to make money, "go earn it." But this entails having a product the market wants and people are willing to pay for it. AAR looses on both counts here. I have noticed that to the best of my knowledge, they are no longer on Sirius Radio. Rob went to apply for a public grant from "Meals on Wheels" to keep them on the air. He is also exploring the Karl Rove angle here. You know, Karl Rove is responsible for everything bad that happens to them.

Oh but didn't you folks here that "millions" of people are turning against Bush as revealed in a poll of mere thousands, heavily weighted with Democrats?

I'm sure if those "millions" of people were out there, they'd be only too happy to contribute to that socialist squeal fest.
