Memory of 9/11 Left in the Hands of a Psychotic
As recently referenced in Slate (via a tip from V the K), an October 2001 New Yorker article gives some insight into the reaction to 9/11 by Oliver Stone, who has recently been granted the responsibility of recording the events of that horrible day for posterity in a big-budget movie by Paramount.
According to Stone's bizarre mythology, the world is controlled by "six principal princes," which are corporations that have a stake in the entertainment industry, including Fox and AOL Time Warner. 9/11 was a noble rebellion against these "barons." As Stone explains (please excuse the language):
They control culture, they control ideas. And I think the revolt of September 11th was about 'Fuck you! Fuck your order—'
You read that correctly: 9/11 was not an act of terrorism, it was a "revolt" — with which Stone openly sympathizes.
In case you missed the connection between Osama bin Laden and the entertainment industry, Stone elaborates:
The studios bought television stations. Why? Why did the telecommunications bill get passed at midnight, a hidden bill at midnight? The Arabs have a point! They're going to be joined by the people who objected in Seattle, and the usual ten per cent who are against everything, and it's going to be, like, twenty-five per cent of this country that's against the new world order. We need a trustbuster like Teddy Roosevelt to take the television stations away from the film companies and give them back to the people!
But there was more to 9/11 than the evil machinations of American corporations. It also had something to do with the presidential election of 2000:
Does anybody make a connection between the 2000 election and the events of September 11th? Look for the thirteenth month!
Stone then went on to compare the Palestinians who danced in the streets on 9/11 with people celebrating in response to the famous revolutions in France and Russia, which were presumably happy events from Stone's point of view.
Here is some more of Stone's insightful analysis of the events of 9/11 and their connection to "the new world order":
The new world order is about order and control. This attack was pure chaos, and chaos is energy. All great changes have come from people or events that were initially misunderstood, and seemed frightening, like madmen. Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Gates. I think, I think . . . I think many things.
If bin Laden doesn't remind you of Einstein, perhaps you're part of the new world order's conspiracy.
As most anyone outside of Hollywood will probably agree, Oliver Stone should be on Thorazine. To allow his poisoned and deranged mind to pollute the memory of 9/11 by recreating it in the likeness of his vile fantasies is beyond obscene.

No doubt some turdsucking moonbats will come along and defend Speilberg's mindless rants.
