John Kerry Wins Congressional Medal of Chutzpah
Bad enough Kerry stalled for months on end after promising repeatedly to sign the Standard Form 180 and release his military records to the public. Bad enough that when he finally did apparently sign it, the records were released not to the public, but to his fawning acolytes at the LA Times and Boston Globe — and whether these records were complete remains very much in doubt.
But now he has compounded his unseemly behavior by screeching for the White House, according to AP, "to release all of Roberts' working papers from his time during the Reagan and George H.W. Bush years."
Kerry, by the way, is not a member of the Judiciary Committee. But apparently his heartfelt conviction that public servants' records must be made known in their entirety means so much to him that he just couldn't keep his mouth shut.
The reluctance of Senator Jean François to share his own records seems to have something to do with not wanting to corroborate claims made by his brothers in arms in the book Unfit for Command. These include the accusation that, knowing that three Purple Hearts added up to a ticket home, Kerry gamed the system to acquire them. Too bad Congress doesn't award medals for shamelessness and gall. I'm sure he would have collected more than enough to qualify for a one-way ticket back to Massachusetts years ago.
Thanks to Barb for the tip.

Since you obviously have a keen interest in leadership ability, you might look at the demonstrated leadership capability of our current Commander in Chief. Its a dismal failure. Bush has ignored input from his military leaders, has damaged our covert intellegence gathering capability, and is unwilling to take action against those in his own staff that have committed treason. We are losing the war in IRAQ, not according to me, but according to our generals. BY mid next year, our military will be on the verge of both a personnel and equipment meltdown, according to General Casey, the theater commander. The war in IRAQ has increased terrorism, not according to me, but according to published statistics. IRAQ's new government is becoming a mulsim fundamentalist, and is becoming best friends with IRAN. Your party votes against veterans benefits, and is currently putting aside a defense appropriations bill becuase it doesn't have a special interest proviso for the NRA. Due to the disengenuous nature of your party, we can't meet our military recruitment goals.
If you really were patriotic, you would be concerned about these items; instead you are still trying to accuse John Kerry of something that is generally accepted as a smear.
Macho bravado, flag wagging, rampant nationalism isn't patriotism when it supports an administration that is weaking America. None of us wanted this to happen. But it is happening, and a string of lies and bad decisions have been instrumental in creating this damage; lies and bad decisions by the Bush Administration. You have a choice; to start to accept reality, or to continue to damage our country; which will it be?

John Kerry is "persona non grata" on the national polical landscape. Calling for anyone to release records is laughable. Kerry and his mate refused to released thier tax records when he ran for the Presidency and he did not aurthorize full release of his military records. I agree with RWR, I wish he would just go away.

The left seems to exempt themselves from charges of hypocrisy.

So, you aren't going to respond to Cool Aqua, just continue to spank Kerry. Do as your party leaders do, I suppose.
Maybe you should spend less time demonizing Durbin and Kerry, and naked hippies, and look at the real problem; YOUR LEADERSHIP.

Cool Aqua...isn't that Ted Kennedy's nickname?

Now you know what is going on here:
Standards for open government and personal disclosure, like those for ethics and conduct were ONLY meant to be applied to Republicans.
Didn't you get the memo?

Respond to a tired list of Rabid Democrat Talking Points we've all seen a hundred times already? Why bother? That's why God created scroll bars.

That's why God created scroll bars.
Careful, VK! You may confuse the moonbats with the word "God"! Maybe "the tree nymphs" or "Gaea" or even "non-denominational neuter-gendered universal Creator"?

I prefer ISIS, thank you.

Rob might be on to something....
"Oh Mighty Isis" twirl and special effects, now lets go smite the bad guys with the officially Isis sanctioned Clue-Bat.

Meanwhile, John Kerry's old comrade Hanoi Jane wants to see if she can help America Lose Another War. Van H may want to use this photograph to illustrate.

And if Hanoi Jane play her cards right... maybe the insurgents will let her pose next to a roadside bomb.
Before they cut her head off.

Was that Cool Aqua or Kool Aid???
Whichever it is, I find their statement another incredulous cut and paste job from the Barbara Streisand/Mother Jones/Howard Dean/Michael Moore school of American appeasement and apology....
Perhaps they prefer the Clinton model of leadership which I posted on here:
http://mikesamerica.blogspot.com/#112238563962868632
Here's a sample:
-Feb. 26, 1993: First WTC bombing.
-April 1993 Al Queda returns to Somalia to train locals for attacks on US forces.
-July 1993 Bojinka Plot: Khalid Shaikh Mohammed meets with the Pakastani later convicted for trying to blow up 12 planes, expressing keen interest in airline hijacking.
-Oct. 3-4, 1993 BLACK HAWK DOWN. Clinton response is trumpeted around the Arab world to this day showing weakness of USA.
-Late 1993 Al Queda plans Nairobi attack.
-January 1994 bin Laden funds Sudan terror training camps.
-August 1994 Morocco hotel attack linked to Afghan jihadi group
-December 1994 Bojinka Plot -- A Test Run Ramzi Yousef plants a small bomb on a Philippine Airlines plane.
-January 1995 Bojinka Plot discovered Khalid Shaikh Mohammed heavily involved.
-Jan. 20, 1995 In the Bojinka investigation, Manila police interview Abdul Hakim Murad. Murad describes his discussions with Ramzi Yousef about hijacking a commercial aircraft and flying it into the headquarters of the CIA.
March 4, 1995, policy directive issued to the CIA and the FBI by Jamie Gorelick, who was then Janet Reno's Assistant Attorney General, That policy directive, which in Gorelick's words was intended to "go beyond what is legally required," ordered the the FBI and the CIA to adopt procedures that would make impossible the sharing of international terrorist intelligence with domestic law enforcement agencies. (added from The View from 1776)
-August 1995 Bin Laden sends an open letter to King Fahd of Saudi Arabia calling for a campaign against U.S. forces in Saudi Arabia.
-January 1996 WHERE IS BIN LADEN? The FBI and CIA create a joint station, code-named ?Alex,? with the mission of tracking down bin Laden. Richard Clarke would later say that with the establishment of Station Alex, ?We were able over the course of about 18 months to go from thinking there was a bin Laden network to seeing it in 56 countries.?
