And Over at Daily Kos...

If you like to take your moonbattery a little stronger than the earlier post on Democratic Underground, check out some of the lunacy at Daily Kos. Apparently the London attacks weren't just an inevitable result of Blair's and Bush's policies — they were very possibly the direct work of the Bush Administration! Please excuse the language:

Can't blow up 'Murkins - 'Murka would realize it's NOT safer... Where are there people who LOOK like 'Murkins? And how are we going to keep Karl Rove's indictment off the front page? And, do you think we can tie this to Iran or possibly Syria? This gang of criminals was at least complicit in allowing this to happen. My condolences to the people of Britain, this madman of ours is fucking up the entire world.

Keep your tinfoil hats firmly in place. Who knows what Bush will do next?

Thanks to V the K of Caption This! for the tip.

Wow.

I'm so glad Kos opened my eyes to that.

So the left are just as insane as the mullahs of the pedophile prophet themselves huh? Not suprising. It would be nice if America could be United, but just like this war will not end till the moderate Muslims stand up and condemn it..America will be divided until the democratic party takes it's party back from the commies. They have the completely insane loons in their leadership positions, and they create terrorist sympathizing, America hating lunatics. This to me is a spiritual war of good vs. evil. I'm just glad I know what side I'm on.

"they were very possibly the direct work of the Bush Administration! "

That's the kind of reaction you would expect from some. It becomes laughable in short order.

Posted by: gindy at July 8, 2005 6:06 PM

"This to me is a spiritual war of good vs. evil."

Or, "musical chairs around the globe because we have lots of resolve and no plan" war. It's not terorrist symapathizing to hear the circles BushCo. speaks in and want something better and different than "resolve" and "patience" speeches.

"So the left are just as insane as the mullahs of the pedophile prophet themselves huh"
I think they have always been IN IT as much as he mullahs.
It is about destabilizing and destroying the "unjust" capitalism after all.

Posted by: Felis at July 8, 2005 7:43 PM

Rob,

You've jumped the shark with that one. You were never worth debating before-- now all you get is scorn.

Fuck off and die, moron-- what does this have to do with speeches by Bush? Nothing- it's just that your terminal case of BDS compels you like a Tourette's patient to blurt out attacks against Bush no matter the context.

You sorry bastard- I'm glad there are so few as terminally stupid as you are. Otherwise, we'd be doomed.

Posted by: LC Triplenecksteel at July 8, 2005 11:39 PM

If by "not worth debating", you mean "conservatives can't answer anything that challenges their system with anything other than the very retorts they accuse everyone else of using", then you are correct LC.

Are you really so unable to think for yourself that the you can't see that the "plan" is failing, and nobody has an answer save 9/11 references and lies?

I realize you are the equivalent of a drone driven by rhetoric from suits, but, if we are not to look to the leader of our country for accountability and answers, then who?

Posted by: Rob B. at July 9, 2005 12:18 AM

Okay Rob, if the plan of spreading democracy in the Middle East is no good because we can't get the French and the MSM on board, I guess you've got a better one?

Posted by: Van Helsing at July 9, 2005 9:48 AM

Actually, if there's any "Rhetoric from suits" being swallowed it's the rhetoric that "the plan is failing," and "nobody has an answer," which is the party line of Kerry, Pelosi, and Ted Kennedy faithfully adhered to as they try to undercut the war effort in order to gain partisan advantage.

The truth is, progress is being made. Iraq had elections, and as a result, the people who hate each other are trying to work out their differences politically. Is that not progress? Are the negotiations to create the Iraqi Constitutions tendentious? You bet, but if you have ever had any dealing with the Middle East, you know what negotiations with Arabs are like. There's a guy in my company who spent 20 years negotiating a single business deal with an Arab country.

Is the insurgency a problem? Yes, but calling it an "insurgency" is a misnomer. Most of the insurgents are, in fact, Saudis, Syrians, and Iranians... countries that desperately do not want an Arab democracy in the region. And, isn't it funny that the left insists that Iraq has nothing to do with the "War on Terrorism," but the terrorists seem to believe otherwise, as evidenced by the attacks in Madrid and London... which were apparently carried out by non-Iraqis. And there is a plan to deal with the "Insurgents". Iraqi security forces are being trained to take over the job. It's a slow process, but essential to giving them their country back.

The problem is not the plan. The problem is too many people who put politics ahead of American security and constantly undercut the effort, not to offer a better plan, but just to bash and whine that scuffing a few Korans and turning the air conditioning too high makes us just as bad as the people who blow up children and chop off heads. I notice the media went into bash-America-overdrive fot three weeks because of a few scuffed Korans, but when the reports came out about attacks against American guards by detainees, that story was buried on page 16A and disappeared in a day or two.

Meanwhile, Libya has given up its WMD programs and taken baby-steps toward rejoining civilization. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Kuwait have allowed some very limited democratic reforms. The Syrian opposition has been emboldened, and Syria has pulled out of Lebanon. I can't help noticing that none of this happened during the previous administration's policy of jaw-boning, appeasement, and throwing away perfectly good cruise missiles against empty terrorist camps.

On MSNBC, Ron Reagan (very) junior made the same weak, dem-bot-talking-points-arguments Rob B loves to make, and Christopher Hitchens Eviscerated Him

Posted by: V the K at July 9, 2005 11:44 AM

Moonbat Rob drivel: nobody has an answer save 9/11 references and lies?

That's what I love about this adorable little moonbat, folks! His refreshing honesty! Finally, a liberal who will admit that they have no answers, solutions, or alternatives to combatting terrorism! I mean, we've heard nothing but crap from liberals about fighting the war on terrorism and not a damned thing in terms of proposed solutions or alternatives. Now we know why we've heard no such alternatives: because as Rob admits, they have none!

It does beg the question, though: If, by your own admission, you and your ilk have no answers, why do you continue to antagonize those who are at least trying solutions? It would be like me criticizing doctors for not finding the cure for cancer, when I myself don't have any idea what the cure would be or how to find one!

I guess we can infer than if you have no answers or alternatives to combating terrorism, and you criticize America and its allies for fighting terrorism...your implied solution is to stop fighting!

Boy, did you open your piehole and stick that tootsie in it or what?!?

Posted by: Jonathan at July 9, 2005 3:41 PM

Jonathon, it must be exhausting working so hard to see things that are not there and sounding more like a "moonbat" than the people you normally think of as such. You're like the rookie running back that talks smack and hasn't carried the ball once. Your teammates should have a chat with you before you become a clubhouse disease.

When I said "nobody", that included all of our leaders, not just liberals. Your analogy is weak: Folks in the medical field are paid and taught to find cures and dispense treatment. When they don't make progress, we need to ask why. It's called accountability. It's much different than the blind faith idea, where one supports whatever he is told he should like a bobblehead.

Posted by: Rob B. at July 10, 2005 1:09 AM

The "progress" you mention is the same "progress" we heard about 2 years ago. The problem has since grown and spread, yet, somehow, things are "getting better", and we are in the "last throes". Simply not true.

Posted by: Rob B. at July 10, 2005 1:48 AM

A couple of things about moonbats.
Thier hatred of President Bush controls thier lives.
They have no sense of the history of world-wide terrorism and conflicts in the world and how to resolve them.
They project thier simple-minded way of thinking upon conservatives. Thinking we march in lockstep with President Bush on every issue. I have had issues with Bush and so has every conservative here.
They lock on to single issues, Abu Gharib(sp?), Gitmo, Bolton, and etc.,distort them to define President Bush and conservatives.
They think the religious right is more dangerous than militant Islam. Captured terrorist killers deserve more respect than our members of our Armed Forces.
They think if you gen up stories and keep repeating, say it loud, and say it last, it will become a fact.
Sometimes, I go over to the DailyKos to check it out, The same vulgar and stupid comments never change, just the issues.
So, debating these moonbats has a long time been useless. I will admit they can be rather entertaining, but the same joke over and over, no thanks.
They will become the Al Frankens' and Whoopi Golberg's of the future.

sounding more like a "moonbat" than the people you normally think of as such.

It's not people theat I think of as moonbats. We all know you to be a moonbat. V the K once described you as such:

"He alternates between protests that 'not all leftists are moonbats' with moonbat ravings against Bush"

I've read your conspiracy theories of stolen votes, Halliburton, 9/11-in-advance, and various other paranoid wacko drivel. And now, as you can see by the reactions of others above, you've shown your crazy-ass mindset and intellectually vacuous tendencies by this "UK had it coming 'cuz they were in Iraq" bile.

"conservatives can't answer anything that challenges their system

Well, I'm libertarian and not conservative, but be that as it may, I do find liberals as repulsive as conservatives find you. We damned sure can answer anything you throw at us...it's child's play. The thing is, though, that when you throw crazy anti-American unsubstantiated paranoid leftist moonbat rants at us, we have neither the time nor the inclination to dignify such crazy shit with a rational reply. We've discovered that logic doesn't work on you people. You assholes operate off of feelings, not thoughts. Thank God (that's "the Creator of the universe, Rob) that you f#ckwits don't run the show.

I, like everyone else here, am growing tired of attempting to engage you in discussions when you have time and again demonstrated an inability to back up your view with anything supportive. All you do is peddle unsubstanitiated Al Franken rants and moonbat Democratic Underground innuendo. Facts are not on your side, and Americans know this, as elections time and again prove. Thus, the less people pay attention to you, the more wacky you get.

You're like a child who throws a temper tantrum. The parent leaves the room, and when the kid realizes that Mumsie had left, he finds her and resumes a louder and crazier temper tantrum. Eventually, the little shit gets his ass beat and shuts up. Looks like you're still waiting on your much-needed ass-kicking.

LC was right...you are a terminally stupid sorry bastard who is only going to get scorn, and needs to f#ck off and die. You've been an interesting museum piece, but I'm moving on to the next exhibit. Feel free to reply all you want, but I'll be damned if I'm going to waste another damned precious second of my life on a waste of oxygen such as yourself by replying to your schizophrenic ravings anymore.

Piss off, dimwit.

Just to Lighten the Mood a Bit: Ace of Space Presents: The Script for the First Oliver Stone James Bond Movie

M Good morning, 007.

BOND
Good morning, ma'am.

M
I'm quite sure I don't need to brief you on the day's events.

BOND
I got my fill on the radio over from my flat. Dreadful business.

M
Indeed. The Empire has been attacked. We need your... singular talents.
(snaps a button; a picture slides up revealing a COMPUTER MONITOR, upon which is displayed SURVEILLANCE SNAPSHOTS of Al Qaeda terrorists)
They call themselves "The Secret Al Qaeda Organization of Europe." They are dedicated to killing as many British civilians as possible. Tanner has been liasing with MI-5; he can provide you with a full breifing.
(beat)
I want you to find them, 007. I want you to pick up their scent, hunt them down, infiltrate them.... Your mission, 007, is to find out--

BOND
If SPECTRE's behind them?

M
-- "Why do they hate us?"

BOND
(blinks silently)
What?

M
It's of the most vital urgency that we understand why they hate us.

BOND
Well... okay, I suppose. Get inside your enemy's head. I see. As Sun Tzu said: To destroy your enemy, you must think as he does.

M
Who said anything about "destroying" anyone? What kind of loose talk is that?

BOND
Well, I just sort of assumed...

M
Well for pity's sake don't. We're not that sort of organization, 007. We don't just run around like cowboys gunning down whatever black hats we've deemed villain.

BOND
Sure we do. It's pretty much all I've done for twenty five years.

M
Not anymore. We are dedicated to the proposition that all conflict is the result of misunderstanding, and that all misunderstandings are presumptively our fault. It is your mission to terminate those misunderstandings -- with extreme predjudice.

BOND
Ah. I see where you're going with this. When you say "misunderstandings," you mean terrorists.

M
No, I mean misunderstandings. I want you to communicate with them, honestly and openly. And a little grovelling wouldn't hurt.

BOND
I'm sorry, isn't there someone else you can get for this? 005's a reliable enough man, and I know he reads The Guardian.

M
005 has been killed. He was captured in Syria two weeks ago and beheaded on Al Jazeera. I want you to bring his killers to justice.

BOND
And by justice, you mean...

M
The International Criminal Court at the Hague.

BOND
Umm, usually, see, I just sort of shoot them...

M
We'll have none of that talk of belligerent unilateralism on my watch.

VtheK and LC have at least offered some evidence to back their ideas, Jonathon. You offer nothing but your "crybaby being offended by others' opinions" rants. Terorrism is crawling across Europe like the plague, yet, you still subscribe to the "things are going well-head buried up your ass" perspective.

If you were to get snatched, it would be a victimless crime, perfectly acceptable to your libertarian school of thought. You no longer exist in cyberspace to me, much like turds flushed down the toilet.
