Tinfoil House
Tinfoil hat leftists of the Walter Cronkite variety — people who believe that Bush causes tsunamis and Karl Rove secretly controls world events — are a dime a dozen over at Democratic Underground. But a California family has gone the tinfoil hat concept one better.
The D'Souzas have encased their entire house in sheet metal, the better to defend themselves from microwave radiation that began to afflict them on the first anniversary of 9/11, causing health problems "ranging from headaches to lupus."
According to Sacramento Code Enforcement spokesman Josh Pino, "The inside of the house is also covered with foil and the beds are covered with a foil-like material as well."
No word yet from DU on whether Karl Rove is responsible for the radiation.

I don't know whether to laugh about them being scared of aliens and Elvis, or WHAT. What a weird thing to do to your house! Because of a weird fear! I don't know if I should take this seriously or not!

"but they also plan to gather evidence to show city officials what they believe is a problem with radiation"
Let them do it - even more funny stories to come from the Left Coast.

I'm thinking that, with all the internal plus external two-sided reflective surface, the feedback generated from their psychosematic brainwaves bouncing all over would be devastating, perhaps even to their community.
Imagine a perpetual brain-fart reactor going critical.
