Touchy-Feely Tyranny

Yesterday's Chicago Sun-Times has a typically teeth-grinding piece on a certain Amer Mirza, who is among the Muslims who have joined the discrimination gravy train after discovering that, thanks to 9/11, their hypersensitivity can easily be converted into cash.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a suit on his behalf, alleging that his employers were unsupportive of his preference for prayers to Allah over work. In an admirably clever bit of politically correct ju-jitsu, his female supervisor's objection to his misogynist remarks is spun into evidence that the supervisor indulged in a stereotypical view of Muslims as having a demeaning view of women. Mirza even alleges that he was hospitalized by stress-induced stomach and chest pains caused by coworkers' lack of enthusiasm for the multicultural diversity he brought to the workplace. His being late for work also made the list of offenses by his employer; evidently they should have been more understanding than to chastise him.
The company eventually fired him, apparently unaware that you can't fire a Muslim who thinks he's being oppressed when you ask him to stop rubbing his face on the floor and get some work done without drawing a locust swarm of lawyers. The EEOC is not only suing for the "lost wages" Mirza didn't earn after he was canned, they also want "punitive damages" and to gratuitously humiliate the company with "special training" for the staff.
The article offers no indication that there might be any point of view other than that of the put-upon "victim" (who as always has his hand out for someone else's money), forcing the reader to try to reverse the spin enough to discern what really happened.
Maybe Mirza really was treated unfairly — but I doubt it. If he had any kind of concrete allegations to make, the Sun-Times would have been more than happy to amplify them. As a rule, bleeding heart moonbattery only serves the undeserving, conferring all sorts of work-free benefits on parasites and weasels, encouraging them to take their sniveling hypersensitivity to new extremes of imaginative neurosis, while thoroughly discouraging honor, self-respect, and hard work. Decent people shake off the slight, whether imagined or real, and either get back to work or find another job. Lowlifes and their lawyers cash in.
By the way, if anyone is harming Muslims here, it's the greedy crybaby Mirza. How likely is a company to want to hire Muslims in the future after being put through one of these lawsuits?
But I almost forgot: liberals don't think economic relationships should be based on a voluntary exchange of value for value, as in laissez-faire capitalism. They think it should be based on coercion, as in feudalism, slavery, and communism. Companies should be forced to hire Muslims, even if more qualified non-Muslims go jobless as a result. If they don't comply avidly enough, lawyers have a fresh excuse to turn their pockets inside out.
No matter how sensitive, tyranny is tyranny.
