The Religion of Peace Versus God's Rottweiler
Don't you wish Christians could be as easygoing as the righteous practitioners of The Religion of Peace?
This just in from the BBC:
A man rumored to have burned a Koran provided healthy outdoor recreation for a whole community in Pakistan. A crowd of 400 chased him through some fields and up a tree before shooting him dead. The death penalty is mandatory punishment for the crime of blasphemy in that enlightened land, but why wait around for the police? When the police did arrive, the guy was already dead, so no arrests were made.
Pakistan's blasphemy law is employed quite frequently at the expense of annoying minorities — i.e., Christians and anyone failing to practice the correct variant of Islam. If the court acquits them, you might have a chance to watch them get blown away on the spot, as happened to accused Christian Manzur Masih. (Three years later, the judge who acquitted him was also shot dead.)

The badly mutilated corpses of more than 50 people, including women and children, have been pulled out of the Tigris River, where they had been dumped by Sunni "insurgents" (politically correctese for Islamic terrorists).
According to Riyadh Sakhi, a local policeman:
We discovered bags with the slaughtered children inside them. There were two girls. One was a student and the other was very young. We discovered bags with slaughtered and beheaded young people.
Apparently the victims belonged to the wrong branch of The Religion of Peace — they were Shia. What better excuse to work out your frustrations with a little high-spirited carnage?
While Muslims are having all this fun, the West prepares for a wet blanket to be thrown on the killing of inconvenient children by Benedict XVI, also known (to the press anyway) as God's Rottweiler.
As I'm sure Abu Musab al-Zarqawi would say, "Come on Ratzinger, lighten up!"

Thanks for the link, Irene. Lucky for John Kerry he's been able to avoid the same treatment. He deserves it if Jane Fonda does — more, actually: at least Fonda seems to understand that she did something wrong.

From what I seen of what Jane said about those days, it wasn't exactly an apology even now.
