The Freak Store

Good news for New York City freegans: they won't have to burrow through filthy dumpsters to go shopping anymore. The NY Times reports on a store in a trendy part of Brooklyn where moonbat economics are applied. The owner has created "an environment that rejects mainstream ideas of commerce" by marking everything in the store down to free.

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for, even at the Free Store. The inventory apparently consists of the same kind of rubbish you might find in a dumpster. But the article does claim that a collection of "nearly new" hockey sticks were available.

"It's been extremely rewarding and inspiring," claims Jessica Baldwin, the owner of the Williamsburg shop, which is also used for moonbat gatherings such as folk music sessions, and is a good place to go to keep up to date on cultural activities like the "Chaos Circus Procession" in the Lower East Side's infamous Tompkins Square Park.

We'll have to wait until Monday to see how the revelation that we don't need capitalism after all affects the stock market.

Jessica Baldwin waits outside the Free Store, evidently ready to offer a much needed hosing down to her customers.

Comments

I can't wait to see the profit reports.

Oh and this -

Dear (Landlord):

Due to extremely low profits this month, we will be unable to pay the rent on our store at (address). Please be patient, as we expect profits soon to rise to the point where we will be able to pay you in full.

Sincerely,
JB the Moonbat

Ain't America great?

"an environment that rejects mainstream ideas of commerce"

Sounds a lot like mainstream ideas of commerce when you overcharge tenants for rent and use the extra money to subsidize your whims and fancies. Is it "fair" to the tenants subsidizing this junkyard?

That Jessica babe (is she really a Baldwin?), I want her shoes. Talk about stylin'. Think she'd give 'em to me?

Wait... are those shorn legs I spy?
