Say Hi to Jean François, Fan of Militant Moonbat Du Bois
It's Tuesday, time to blogburst for Kerry's 180 by urging readers to send an email to War Hero Jean François reminding him that he can fulfill his promise to share his military record by signing the Standard Form 180 that can be downloaded at this URL:

While you've got Hanoi John's attention, you might ask him to explain what he was thinking by sponsoring a Senate resolution to honor W.E.B. Du Bois, a hard-left nutcase who renounced his American citizenship, opposed racial integration, and was an actual member of the Communist Party.
It seems Kerry has not made much of an effort to improve the company he keeps. The bill's cosponsors are left-wing ding-a-lings Ted Kennedy and Carl Levin. Past governments that thought it appropriate to honor Du Bois were the Soviet Union and Communist China.
Du Bois considered Josef Stalin — clearly on the short list of the most evil human beings who ever lived — "great" and "courageous." He praised Soviet repression of Christianity as "the greatest gift of the Russian Revolution to the modern world."
Kerry's hero had nice things to say about Hitler too, showing that at least he could be consistent, unlike leftists who claim to revile Hitler but then apologize for other genocidal socialists like Stalin, Mao, and Saddam.
Although Du Bois helped found the NAACP, his views were so obnoxious that he was kicked out of it twice. "I do not pretend to 'love' white people," Du Bois declared, in opposition to the constructive message being promoted at the time by Martin Luther King.
Unless this is part of a clever Campaign 2008 strategy to outflank rival Dennis Kucinich on the Left, pushing honors for a character like Du Bois doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. Maybe Kerry is hoping some screwball in the Senate will do the same for himself one day.
