Holiday in Hell

Even the most militant moonbats have to lighten up when they're on vacation, right?

Well, maybe not. To get an idea of how leisure time might be spent under a regime of totalitarian moonbattery, check out the website of Ocean Haven — a "nature friendly lodging on the beautiful Oregon coast."

"WE WELCOME DIVERSITY" their site shouts in all caps, before plunging into the diverse list of all that is forbidden.

Smokers are not permitted. They don't say no smoking. They say "NO ROOM FOR SMOKERS." You can't even smoke outdoors, or in your car. Apparently it's not smoking that's verboten so much as the smokers themselves.

But smokers are only the beginning:

  • No beach fires.
  • No BBQ.
  • No candles.
  • No incense (patchouli oil is okay).
  • No pets (animals might interfere with the wildlife — which apparently consists of slimy tentacled things from out of a story by H.P. Lovecraft).
  • No visitors ("We charge for all persons on premises, regardless of age or length of visit.").
  • No RVs.
  • No Hummers.

Also: no phones in the rooms, no Internet service, no televisions and no fragrance soaps.

On the positive side, you don't have to bring a hiking stick; Ocean Haven provides them.

Uptight as the place may seem, it's apparently loosened up since last week, when their site proclaimed that nobody who voted for Bush would be allowed, and "Kirstie," who runs the place, confirmed for Fox News that the diversity they welcome does not extend to people who support our President.

Maybe I'll see if I can reserve a suite at San Quentin instead.

Stupid. I wouldn't go there ever. I bet not too many others would either. Although I do like patchouli...

Is it any coincidence that Rush Limbaugh was talking about this VERY moonbat resort, this afternoon, AFTER this very post went up? Maybe you've got a certain influential readership, Van Helsing...

MaryHunter,

If only it were true. But Rush seems to be doing okay without my help.
