Dead Trees Imperiled
Posted by Dave Blount at March 16, 2005 6:04 AM
Fox News reports that 22 female moonbats were arrested Monday while trying to prevent loggers from cutting down dead trees that went up in a forest fire back in 2002.
This is the third time that envirokooks have caused a disturbance at the Siskiyou National Forest since an injunction against cutting down the dead trees was lifted on March 7. Feeling no need to work for a living, the protestors have been camping out in the area, doing whatever they can to impede constructive activity while attempts are made to rescue the dead trees in court.
Forest Service officials have pointed out that logging will speed the restoration of the burnt forest. The envirokooks responded that cutting down the dead trees so that a new forest could grow would be hurtful to salmon.
