Bill Moyers Continues to Be a Jerk
Perhaps the most loathsome of all condescending liberal elite propagandists, Bill Moyers, former host of PBS's taxpayer-funded left-wing agitprop platform NOW and, per Salon, "the conscience of American journalism," has been forced to mumble a half-hearted apology through gritted dentures to former Secretary of the Interior James Watt, whom he had insulted with the absurd and libelous allegation that Watt wanted to despoil the environment in the belief that, in the words Moyers falsely inserted into Watt's mouth, "after the last tree is felled, Christ will come back."
The fact that Watt did not and would not have said this has been documented. Moyers apparently took the quote from the loony-left online rag Grist, which he was lazy and/or gullible enough to believe.
This fictional quote was a two-fer for Moyers, providing him with colorful if totally sham support for two of the Left's favorite slanders: that Republicans are trying to ruin the environment, and that the Christian religion is destructive and insane.
Although he admitted to Watt that he should have done some fact-checking, the profoundly insufferable Moyers used his "apology" as an opportunity to goad the man he had libeled, even presuming to preach to him that his policies back in the 1980s were "abysmally at odds" with Christian doctrine. In a faxed follow-up to a supposedly apologetic phone call, Moyers sanctimoniously prattled, "I found it baffling, when in our conversation of today, you were unaware of how some fundamentalist interpretations of the Bible influence political attitudes toward the environment."
Moyers' "apology" was not the spontaneous result of a guilty conscience, but was instigated by a letter from Watt regarding the phony quotation, in which he was asked,
Since you must have known such a statement would not have been made and you refused or failed to do any primary research on this supposed quote, what was your motive in printing such a damnable lie?
Blogger John Hinderaker of Power Line, who was involved in this story, made this observation (before Moyers had coughed out his "apology"), possibly explaining why Moyers acknowledged Watt's letter at all:
Before the advent of the blogosphere, Bill Moyers — arrogant, rich, powerful and well-connected — would merely have thrown Mr. Watt's letter into the trash. Today, he may still do so. But he and his friends in the liberal media no longer have a monopoly on information, and those who have been defamed by them, like James Watt, now have the means to make their voices heard.
Along with Ramsey Clark, Moyers is one of the last remnants of the disastrous Johnson Administration, where he served essentially as Minister of Propaganda. To learn more about this corrupt far-left ideologue, check out this informative piece from FrontPage Magazine.

No specific comments about Moyers, this fool and his current situation speaks for itself. But, is it not refreshing to see these old lefto wacko's who infested MSM(and plenty of them still do) finally get called out for the bias and lying. Hope Eason, Rather, and Moyers is just the beginning of exposing these people.
