Waiting for Godot in the Tony Part of Town
Merriam-Webster needs to put out an updated edition, because the Coalition Against Election Fraud has given the word pathetic a whole new meaning.
Advanced PEST has apparently blossomed into florid psychosis. If only CAEF could conduct themselves like the dignified psychotics who spend their time in relatively constructive pursuits, like drawing mandalas on the padded walls of their cells with crayons they hold between their toes as they lay on their backs in their straitjackets, snickering and whispering to the ghosts that haunt their corroded minds.
Instead, this:
Believing that they "can still have an impact on the course of this election" — by which they mean the U.S. election that ended more than two months ago — this coalition against reality has been holding a daily vigil in front of John Kerry's residence, starting December 28 and not scheduled to end until last night, the eve of today's joint session of Congress to certify the vote of the Electoral College.
Another exercise in senseless self-degradation was the petition that can still be linked to from their site, requesting targeted senators (including Senator "Snow" — oops they mean Snowe) not to certify the election.
On what grounds, you might ask?
Amid some vague blather about violations, misconduct, racism (of course), tampering, people having to wait in line, yada yada yada, they seem to be asserting that since early exit polls were more to their liking than the actual election results, we should chuck out the results and go with the exit polls.
The closest thing to a concrete allegation is an accusation that the Ohio Secretary of State refused to cooperate with a committee hearing headed by Representative John Conyers, whose staff has recently fallen under suspicion of stealing turkeys that were donated to charity.
As you read this, the petition has presumably been delivered, and the daily vigils have drawn to a close. Maybe the Kerrys took mercy on the poor huddled moonbats, and brought them in from the cold for a healthy snack of gin-soaked raisins — although I kind of doubt it. But hey, I wouldn't let this kind of riff-raff into my house either, and I don't live in a mansion.

Comments
LOL That's one of the best posts I've read in some time, Van Helsing. I hope you stick with this, because your writing is well-executed and unique—a winning combination, in my opinion. I think you'll be able to take your web log far, mister. Don't deprive the people of brutally sardonic truth!

You are joking, patrickafir, right? Well - OK, I admit, I was certainly impressed with how UNIQUE this writing is.
Amidst all these thoroughly invigorating articles (ahem), this madness and right-wing lunacy I would ask that you would please deprive us mere mortals of your version of the truth; at any rate, please would you try and contain yourself, especially regarding your foaming-at-the-mouth obsession with "Towelheads".
BTW: The Jewish religion and the state of Israel are different things. It's possible to take offence at the actions of Israel without hating Jews.
No doubt the only response I'll get from the post will contain the word "troll". How mature you all are. However if you disagree with my opinion and are willing to argue your own in a mature and sensible way then I would warmly welcome your response.

Sorry Mark, but you do kind of sound like a troll. Who's foaming at the mouth? You've got "Towelheads" in quotes -- who are you quoting? It isn't me.

OOPS!
Sorry mate, I confused this with another site (barking-moonbat.com) that I was intending to post to at the time. Sorry - it's late here and your names are (vaguely, I'll admit) similar. Having looked at that site again (some of the posts on it really are quite increddible) I don't really think it's worth posting anything on there so I think after this post I shall call it a night!
Thus I withdraw my comments apart from the third paragraph, which I think is important as many people confuse being anti-Israel with being antisemitic and I think it's an important point to get across. While the actions of Palestinian terrorists are inexcusable some actions of the Israeli military are equally deplorable.
This article may be of some interest to you. The story concerns an Israeli officer who shot a thirteen year old palestinian girl in Gaza and says he'd have killed her even if she'd been three years old. The fact that she was 'scared to death' didn't stop him from shooting her around seventeen times.
Transcript, as detailed in the article, of radio con:
Watchtower - It's a little girl. She's running defensively eastward.
Ops room - Are we talking about a girl under the age of 10?
Watchtower - A girl of about 10, she's behind the embankment, scared to death.
Captain R (after killing the girl) - Anything moving in the zone, even a three-year-old, needs to be killed.
The same article was reported on foxnews.com here. Notice the difference in emphasis? The Guardian article focuses on the child's life, whereas the Fox News article focuses on the fact that the man got suspended - not charged for anything - suspended.
Suddenly the slogan "We Report. You Decide." Doesn't seem so appropriate does it? I continually check my news sources and contrast them with others around the world and across the political spectrum to ensure that I am being told the whole truth and nothing but (that's how I came across this Fox News article originally). Whilst this is only one example, there are many others. I would urge you to consider the effect of Israel on the Palestinian community - whilst of course not forgetting that there are elements within the Palestinian community who also bomb innocent Israeli children.
And I assure you, not all lefties follow the DU view, that America caused the Tsunami (although of course global warming is a different matter).
Anyway, apologies

Mark's been drinking his bong water again. Good to see there's a place for moonbats do what they do best.
Anyway, excellent post. It is highly unfortunate that the cause of election reform is being soiled by such loons, when there is a real work to be done on this front.
PS, thanks for your visit. Come back soon.
