A Small Gesture of Thanks
The Department of Defense has a webpage where you can sign this brief message:
Dear member of the U.S. military: Thank you for defending our freedom.
It takes less than a minute to do. With all the negativity directed toward our military from some quarters, these little gestures might count for something.
The link is here.
Hat tip to The Politburo Diktat.

Always a good idea to express our thanks to our Armed Forces. It is difficult to appreciate fully the difficult task they have been given. I must say, I haven't seen negativity toward the military. The negative comments I have seen and heard are directed toward the civilian leadership for burdening the military with a flawed plan and inadequate preparation (adequate armor, flak vests, troop numbers, etc.).

Harry,
The picture you'll find here indicates the quarters I had in mind when I mentioned negativity directed toward the military.
